thanks man... if there was a manual somewhere i'd try...

fyi... pain your truck gray and we have  the exact same 02... so you can understand why i don't want to part with that either...lol...

You can down load a factory service manual,FSM, right here. It will cover anything you have to do and all of us are here to help. I came here 3.5 years ago and had never touched the diesel except for maintenance. But since

then I have torn into things i never touched before with the help of all here. The only dumb question is the one you dont ask.

Fact is, we would have as much fun as you, except we dont get to keep the truck.

Hi dripley.   Couldn't make the link work, maybe needs a space after the comma to make it active?   Thanks   Rick

You have time to do this, and this is the best situation to be in when putting something together.   Can't remember how many nights out in my garage trying to repair something, when my wife needs the car to get to work the next day, and wishing I could just say goodnight and get back at it the next day LOL.    Good Luck.

Thank you so much everyone!

Mike's old software for the forum had a Thanks button instead of the Like This button. It is still taken as the

same thing as far as I am concerned. Good luck.

Do you travel for your job or are you in the military?

like everyone else in Canada I came to the great white North of Northern Alberta oil field to further my career... i have a chance to move back south and live in the house where the truck has been staying warm for 5 years... so i figured despite the big city of Vancouver it was a good chance to better my families situation

I was not meant to be a link. The FSM is in the down loads section. I guess  I should have been a little more specific. My apologies.

It can also be found a pdftown.com                  http://pdftown.com/   that should be the

are you sure that's the right site... i just found a right up about the 2004 dodge ram

do those hanes manuals work well?  Call me dumb... but the best manual i ever read on anything was for my Honda 2007 450x manual allowed even a fool like me to do everything...every step had a pic and it had word for word step by step instructions... i find not being mechanical i miss all those little things you mechanical types take for granted

I travel for living myself and am in a new town about every 4 months. I am construction super and build mostly Chick-fil-A's. Thats why I asked.

The haynes manuals are ok but lack a lot of info. I have one for my 02, but also have the FSM. I did go back over to pdftown and I dont see the 01 FSM any more. It is here however. Just go to the top of the page and look in the downloads section. It is for the 01 but will work for your 02. The 95 I am not sure. Try this site. It appears to be free but I din not try and down load it.http://servicemanualpdf.net/download-dodge-ram-truck-1500-3500-1994-2002-service-manual-pdf.html I just did a quick Google search for 1995 dodge factory service manual and came up with this.

thanks a lot... the 02 needs a new rear main seal and oil pan gasket everyone keeps telling me its a "huge job"  its not too bad just a few drops of oil on the drive way... had the front seal go last year... the hack that did the work sure made a mess of hings even scratched the top of the engine where the cummins lettering is written not sure how he did that but he had to take the front bumper apart and everything... i asked him to clean the radiators for me...think he did??? nope still some oil and dust on em... piss me off... there is so much work here in Northern Alberta you can't hire a good trades person that cares if you try.... no matter what the trade

I use to be in Construction as well... my family in Vancouver is heavy into the industry... i loved it but hated family working so i decided to go "educate myself"  lol... mistake my cousins make x3 what i do and never missed a pay cheque after they left high school!  Kick kick kick!  wow can't believe you guys are in and out in 4 months... we use to specialize in 4 story appartment building with concrete underground parking... i think from excavation to finnish was about 16 months... i still remember towing a bobcat 853 on a 16 foot tandem high boy trailer with a 1992 cummins 5 speed... man that truck ran forever but boy was it slow... stupid we sold it for $500 at 300 000 km but we beat it hard those 300k never lossed a drop of oil but did start burning blue smoke a little... i think we dusted the engine... boss (my dad) cheap guy... never saw the benefit of air filter changes... he'd just blow them out like we did with our heavy equiptment... oops

if i had to do it all over again... i'd do what grand pa did... stone craft... specialized in granite rock wall, fireplaces you name it he did it... got really offeneded if you asked him to lay brick though!  lol
