Hello ALL! I have been exploring this forum for a few days now and I couldn't be happier that I found it! We own a 1999 Dodge Ram 2500 2nd Generation 5.9L Cummins 24V, it is a 4x4 with an automatic transmission (we couldn't find a manual when we were shopping)... We purchased our truck about 6 years ago already, but we haven't had the time or money to do many of the upgrades we would like. Now we have so many on the list we are having trouble deciding which ones to do first. There are a few things we are past due in installing/ upgrading such as the high idle mod & crankcase vent mod... we also have a few issues that we have tried to address by taking our truck int…

I found this site in a round a bout way, I saw a post from Michael in cummins forum.... and followed the rabbit trail here.I like what I see so far, I love the lack of advertising. ( I'll probably donate to help keep it that way). I have limited bandwidth here (hughes.net) and loading page after page of flash advertising on other forum sites.. (which takes precious time when I NEED info asap!) I run out of allowable use in short order!anyway a quick look under 'my' hood:I have a pile of first generation Rams, and 1 2000, 3500 24 valve 4X4 6 speed. Bone stock. This particular pickup is what brought me here today: The good ol p…

Hey everyone. Just joined the site, which I discovered on CF. I'm a Marine stationed in San Diego. Bought my first Cummins in February, and I'm loving it. It's a 04 QCSB, 4wd. Current mods are Quadzilla ADR wPV2, AFE stage 2 intake, 4" Diamond Eye TBE, South Bend clutch, leveling kit w/Fierce Attitude 35x12.5 M/Ts. Future mods are fuel pump of some type, maybe stacks (if I can find someone that's willing to trade), larger lift, and ranch hand (or comparable) bumpers.Looks like a ton of great info on here, an looking forward to learning a lot.Semper Fi

Hi folks. Just a quick intro as I'm posting this from Afghanistan and the internet isn't very reliable...:cry:I bought an 02 RAM 2500 Cummins 24V Diesel 4x4 with a manual 5 speed. I drove it for only one weekbefore leaving for the sandbox.....I got to drive it for about 700 kms before putting it away for 2 months. The previous owner has doneMANY mods and tweaks, and I haven't had much time to go over the truck before leaving. He told meto check in on this forum, as there's lots of great info in here. (the PO is a member here as well, but Idon't know his member ID)So, here I am, now a registered member, and I'm sure I'll be asking some questions once I get to lookunder the…

Just joined about 7 days ago. It took me about an hour to figure out how to post. Just got my 05 cummins 6 months ago. Unfortunatly I had a horrible experience at dealer and truck is having some issues so me and the dodge are off to a rough start but damn I love that cummins. If anyone here can recommend a service place in Oceanside Ca I would be great full. I have always done the work myself or at a dealer so I am a little unsure if taking it to a none dealer is a bad call or not. I did search for this question but could not find it so if it is in here some were please go easy on me. I have never been good at this forum stuff.

This looks like a pretty well organized community for cummins freaks. I'm currently rebuilding a '05 5.9CR that lost the #1 injector and took the rings and sleeve with it. About ready to start re-assembly, as soon as I figure out if the machine shop made a mistake. - - - Updated - - - Just wanted to add, that if anyone needs pictures of disassembled engine components, now would be the time to ask.

Thought I would introduce myself. My name is Chad Miller I bought my first diesel last year (the one in my sig). It had 234,000 on it when I bought it from the original owner. It was still just as it had come from the factory. I've learned a great deal about it in the last year doing all of the work on my own. Of course I always come across something new that I haven't done yet and it's always great to get the chance to talk to people with a lot more knowledge than me.

Truck details should be in the sig (if I did it right). Bought her brand new in Jan of 2000 and she's treated me way better than I've treated her. Need to figure out a FP issue I'm seeing with my Raptor or my gauge, then should be back on the road again.Great site, lots of great info!

Hey all,Let me first say thanks to Mopar himself for having such extensive knowledge and devotion to the cummins engine amongst other things. Hello to everyone else and I will and do appreciate you answering and humoring all the many questions your going to answer for me. I am a member of the cumminsforum also and avidly read on both sites in efforts to learn as much as I can. Mike was kind enough to chat with me for over an hour on the phone a few weeks back to help me with some VP44 issues. His trusted judgement cost me nearly a grand to replace my VP but the truck fired right back up, and for that I thank him again. I just received a billet mechanical fuel pump for…
