I'm new to CR aside from putting a few hundred miles on a friend's 5.9 and liking it. In 3 weeks I'm picking up a 6.7 C&C truck. 352k on it. Delete, injectors, turbo, head gasket ~30k ago. Smarty Jr programmer. It's got no gauges. Guy who has it now knows 12v trucks and Dodge Cummins in general better than most and says it runs super clean, he can't get a Whig of smoke out of it. Even so, no boost/ pyro to watch seems scary to me. Are these trucks and the Smarty tunes really so good that monitors aren't needed?Does the truck already know this info and a plug-in (scangauge/ similar?) or smartphone app w Bluetooth OBD-II deal could get me that info? Or should I just get…

Now that H&S and all the others have been shut down from making delete tuners do you guys think some new things will come out or will our delete tuners we have be worth gold?? And do you think we should stay away from internet updates to them since they my remove or features. Thats my biggest concern now?

I purchased a H&S Xrt (way excited i got one before they cant make them) but my question is can i just hollow out the cat and DPF and put the exhaust back on so it looks stock but still get good results? Wyoming doesnt check but I am worried if I drive it to some states that may care. What do you guys think

If i want to upgrade my truck and chip it and put injectors than the dual mass flywheel needs changed to a solid flywheel and new clutch assembly. Is that correct

Ok fellas I need help on a 07.5 2500 6.7. When you first crank the truck being cold, it runs fine. When it reaches operating tempature, it dies. Using diagnostic tool the fuel rail pressure is running about 7500 psi at idle cold as it warms up it drops to zero. After it hits around 2200 it dies totally. I've replaced the CP3, fuel rail, limiting valve, rail sensor, injectors, junked the AD165 replaced it with new Velocity 200 fuel system from Eric at Vulcan, new plumbing on low side! I am out of options!!!:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:I need help please and soon!!!

  9. I have a 6.7 in my 2007. the turbo just failed and i dont want it to fail again. Will deleting the egr and dpf fix the issue that makes the turbo fail???

  10. I don't know what it is here lately! I have a second 6.7 cummins in the shop in 2 weeks! This one is purely due to neglect! He doesn't change oil on a regular basis, and I don't think he has cleaned the air filter since putting a new engine in last year!. He calls me yesterday afternoon, and says hey Jason, I have a problem! I said lets hear it. He proceeds to tell me, he heard a loud pop kinda like a tire blowout and his truck is lugging black smoke. I told him to pull over and check the air to air boots, he keeps driving:mad::banghead:Finally started pumping a blue smoke and he pulls over on the side of the I55, and shuts it off. He pulled diagnostics on his mini maxx a…

http://forum.mopar1973man.com/threads/860-DIY-DPF-delete-sims I don't get why you closed it? Because it is a old thread is not a good enough reason In my opinion. The last guy to ask about it does not want to add power and a vender is pushing a tuner. You can buy sims from Rolling Smoke Diesel and a delete pipe. get the 100ohms sims and enjoy. It is always better to post in a existing thread on a subject that to start a new one on the same subject. Unless your forum is just about the numbers.

Just kind of wondering what red light or too low of fuel pressure would be for 6.7. I know factory specs is 11.5 and I'm normally about ten. But I know 3rd gen I believe that 10 psi is way too low. I think they have the VP pump, unsure.

I used my truck this morning to bring kids to day care then to work. When I started the truck at home it started fairly quick,When I went to leave daycare that thing had to crank and crank then finally after about 3-4 seconds in finally started. It does not do this everytime. No error codes I can see(check engine light is off) I never hooked the programmer up to read.

  19. So my gal has a bad leak coming from the power steering pump. Trying to figure out if the seals are available seperately or will I have to purchase the entire thing? And is there a diagram or schematic available some where online that will help us determine which parts we'll need if we can buy seperately? Thanks!

I show under truck 3 fuel lines. Which is what and why?I assume two returns and 1 feed? Also doesn't the CP3, fuel rail and injectors return fuel to tank?
