So I was going throught paperwork in my glove box. Owners manual and the like and came across this document. The manufacturer recommended tire pressure for several situations and configurations. I scanned the documents with my phone and thought I'd post it here since there have been several conversations about this.

Spent the past few weeks going through my truck and getting ahead of maintenance items (new battery cables, end links, leaf spring shackles, fluid, filters). Now to the fun stuff. Sitting in boxes on the kitchen table are a set of Infinite Performance SAC 7x.010’s, ARP 2000’s, Quad Adrenaline, Vulcan big line kit, and draw straw. I’m being offered a good deal on a Smedding 62/65/12 HX40. This is a tow/daily driver. I don’t need to tow 30,000lbs, but my goal is to make the truck tow within its designed limits better than it does now. Will this turbo hit the mark? And regarding the sac injectors, should I expect haze at idle? I’m ok with a light haze, but hoping it’s not ob…

Door sticker is inflation for max weight capacity. Kind of like my truck 65 PSI in the front then 80 PSI in the rear. Now doing it correct. Front axle is 4,440 pounds, and 2860 pounds in the rear. Tires are Es with 3,042 PSI at 80 PSI. (4,440 / 2) = 2,220 / 3,042 = 0.72 × 80 = 58.3 PSI Front inflation (2,860 / 2) = 1,430 / 3,042 = 0.47 × 80 = 37.6 PSI Rear inflation Smooth ride and no impact on performance or economy.

Just a friendly reminder... Take the time to inspect your brakes and all the hardware. Like myself I dove in to fixing my parking brake thinking there was a problem there but really just needs adjustments now and then. During the time of pull the calipers off I found 3 of the 4 slide pins rotten, one rubber boot was so wore it separated in half from the rough rust rubbing on it. Fix is easy I got a set of slide pins and boots coming this morning just gotta head to McCall ID to get them. Only +16*F and snowing this morning. Oh Fun.

Just trying to track down the issue efficiently, if anybody has a good/better/best place to start. Did a boost leak test last week, found a few leaks, tightened some clamps, leaks gone. Threaded in a new boost elbow. Before, with leaks, I was seeing about 18-19psi max. Now I can’t get to 10psi. Set screw is turned all the way in. Bleed orifice does seem to be constantly bleeding air, but I’m not sure if that’s by design or not. It’s the adjustable boost elbow from DAP.

I've had blue smoke coming out of my exhaust upon acceleration, after idling for an extended period of time, for a while now and it smells like oil burning, since I think blue smoke can also be excess fuel. Since oil can only enter the exhaust via the turbo oil seals and the valve seals, I think its the turbo because around 2017 (I think) I had my cylinder head rebuilt due to my head gasket leaking coolant down the side of the block. I haven't pulled the down pipe to confirm yet but its on the list for it. I'm getting into sled pulling with the truck so i was wondering if it would be more beneficial to upgrade the turbo since it would have to come out anyway. …

I got a call from my son on Tuesday, his Peugeot Boxer tipper has stopped on a busy crossroads 8 in the morning Got there 11.6v at the battery, so I disconnected the quad and jump started his van off of my truck, once running as soon as I disconnected the jump leads it stopped, alternator dead and the stupid ECM will not let the engine run, didn't pay any attention to my truck or the gauges just towed the thing home, our drive is long but narrow so my truck is blocked in by this van Fast forward a day, new alternator fitted to the Peugeot (what a job, and low and behold there are no belt adjusters for alternator and PS belt, both are "stretch fit" which means an…

Y’all will see me posting a little more than usual over the next few weeks. I have time away from work and need to get some things done on this truck. This is where I’d like to hear opinions: With good tuning and 7x.010’s can I get better top end for towing grades? To be more specific, I’d like to maintain speed (65 mph) on sub 1 mile 6%-8% grades towing 9K without having to downshift. Subjective I know, but can this be accomplished through tuning, injectors, and my hx35w, or do I need more turbo? Off the highway I tow with od locked out, and if it’s really steep in the mountains somewhere I use 2w low. The problem I’m looking to solve is specifical…
