(Copied From TDG.com) These are the steps we went though to put the injector nozzles in the injectors. I will make this simple and to the point. It is the easiest. Might as well save the money from complete injectors and assemble the nozzles your self and then put the money you saved into something else for your truck. Just an idea. Good luck. -Tools needed: 3/8" inchpound torque wrench, screw driver, 15 mm deep socket, vise, 2 small pieces of flat wood (3" long x 1" tall), clean rags, cup of diesel, and toothbrush. -First I took a buddies complete injectors that he had removed from his 24 valve the previous week. -I put one injector inbetween the two pi…

Well I would like to personally thank GOS Performance for providing me with a quality product. It took me a little over 3 hours to get it all installed to my specs that I wanted. I did some changes during my install to hopefully protect the pump and filter from damages this summer when I'm out cutting firewood. The when the box showed up from the "Brown Man" I was kind of shock to see how big the box was. I didn't relize that is came with all new fuel ine, fittings, electrical, etc. Right On! Instructions are really easy to understand. Once I got the pump all hooked up I was expecting this loud pump to buzz on the frame below. I turned the key and didn't hear nothin…

I'm just thinking how ironic we go to all the trouble of building Cold Air Intakes... and then plug the engines in in winter! I'm thinking that maybe the warm under hood air might be better for the engine in cold weather. (Faster warm up, less rich cold time.) I want to build a new grill block out instead of the bad idea cardboard I used to use. Russ

So assuming that I have been too lazy to do anything about the dripy bottle thing hanging on the front of the engine, how to clean that mess up?Yes from the moment I bought the truck I have been thinking about doing something about that crap collection device. Well now I think its time has come. I have seen many posts on vent mods and ways to fix the messy goo maker, but none have addressed how to properly clean it once it is greased. Any Ideas?

Does the turbo on my 2001 have a way to limit the boost? When using my quad box on level 3 (same as Edge Comp 5x5) I hit 40 PSI... I was told on the other forum that I can get a boost elbow to stop it at a certain point? Any explanation of this would be appreciated.

HOW DO YOU GUYS FEEL ABOUT PROPANE INJECTION FOR FUEL MILEAGE. I AM CONSIDERING IT FOR FUEL MILEAGE, I CAN GET PROPANE FOR ABOUT $1.50 A GALLON. BESIDE THE RISK OF DRIVING AROUND WITH A BOTTLE BOLTED TO YOUR TRUCK. I KNOW THE PERFORMANCE END IS GREAT BUT IS IT WORTH THE HASSLE IN THE END.

I just installed the Edge Comp box last night on my 98.5 Ram. What I'm truely hopeing for is better mileage. It seems to be the only piece that I was missing that most other guy's getting great mileage seem to have.My question is this ... What setting would be best for getting the best mileage increase? Right now I have it set at level 3 with a low boost level also at 3. Where do you have your's set at?Thanks in advance !! ;)

HOPE THIS ISN'T A DUMB QUESTION BUT I PUT 155 INJECTORS IN MY 00 CUMMINS AND I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE KNEW A WAY TO TONE DOWN THE SMOKE A BIT. A COUPLE OF BUDDIES HAVE 150'S AND DON'T SEEM TO SMOKE NEAR AS MUCH AS ME.

My truck has unfortunately had periods when I was unable to use it. (Multiple Sclerosis can do that.) Anyrate, although the truck seemed to drive ok and had plenty of power... even towed the trailer considerable distances... the mpg has been falling off serously. This has gone on for a couple of years and the truck has been through numerous state inspections, various mechanics & dealership. (The dealership said "no codes, nothing to fix!") The answer was found by accident at the most recent state inspection (a different mechanic) checked the front end and found the wheels would barely turn. The cause was two fold... the brake pads themselves were delaminatin…

Another simple enhancement that don't cost a bunch of money is straight pipe the exhaust. Beware in some states it is illegal to be without a muffler. Now in some states a turbo is considered a muffling device. Some people think it just to loud. I will admit that without the muffler in place is it louder. I've been told that my truck can be heard up to a mile away. Now besides the noise and legal stuff. The bonus to straight piping the exhaust is that the engine can breathe easier. It will reduce the pyrometer temperature, increase horsepower and torque, and increase your fuel milage. Basically all you need to do is measure how long the full muffler assembly is and get …

Well here we go. The edge Comp is installed with a TST injection pump plate. Lot of people are wondering how hard it is to install. I hate to say it but it's extremely simple. I think the biggest thing is installing the TST plate. First off...Disconnect you batteries! - Negative cables. I got smart and started with the BD Stealth Plate installation. Which is basically loosen the clamps (2 - 7/16" nuts) on the air tube on the drive side and move it aside. Remember to stick a rag in both holes. Then remove the APPS off the engine (3 - 13mm bolts). Now you got a good view of the top of the VP44 pump. So now you take the supplied tamper-proof torx bit…

There is several ways of getting a boost gauge hooked up. I took the easiest way. I got a 3/4" to 1/2" steel bushing. Then used a 1/2" to 1/8" brass bushing. There is a pipe plug right next to the fuel filter. There is several stories about how to do you pyrometer probe. I'm going to explain my method. I center punched the manifold on the rear port where I wanted to drill my hole. I greased my drill bit and drilled slowly with a shop vacuum next to the bit. After drilling I used both a magnetic screwdriver and a Q-tip to pick up any metal chips. Then I greased my tap and tapped my hole. I checked the manifold again in the same way as above. Then install your probe as …

For all of you that are looking to help you Cummins Turbo Diesel breathe better well there is several different kits, filters, etc. on the market. I'm not going to bend your arm to follow my lead but I will explain why I made this choice.First off there are filters like K & N on the market that are washable and re-useable. Well I'm going to suggest you forget using these filters. When you wash a filter your going to put wear on the media and eventually open holes up in the media to allow passage of dirt. Another problem is most people over oil the filters and the turbo sucks oil in on the compressor wheel. If there is a dirt leak you will see a dirt compressor wheel a…
