I got the heater treater doors and took the dash apart. I am now ready to take out the HVAC box. The problem is..... I can't get the AC lines to come loose.  I bought the plastic fuel line/AC disconnect tools and it's not comine loose.  I went to the auto parts store again and bought a metal fuel line/AC disconnet tool, thinking  It was thinner and would work better. Anyway, no luck with both disconnect tools. Is there a trick that I am missing.

Push the disconnect tool in the collar and with a little twisting motion rock the line back and forth and the should come free once the o-rings starts to move. Sometimes the dust and grit get into the first o-ring make it a bit tough to first move.

Thanks!

I put a little mobil 1 oil on the disconnect tool and push/twisted.......and they came off! I struggled for hours with them yesteday! While I have this out, where can I get some foam/insullation to replace the stuff that's on the HVAC box. The foam that's on there now is so old, it turns to dust when I touch it.

I bought some foam from the building supply and cut it to fit. This was the interior stuff if that is what you are speaking of.

Ok, I'll hit the Home depot and Lowe's stores in the morning to see what I can find. Thanks
