Hi All, Just did my first oil change (oil was fresh 4K miles ago when I bought it). My Haynes manual says to torque the oil plug to 60 ft lbs. I thought that was a bit much so I only torqued it to 40. The plug bolt broke!! I torqued its replacement to 35. Is that enough? Thanks,Jay

OMG! Wow! I know there was a TSB on the about the Dodge FSM being too high at 40 ft/Lbs... But 60 Ft/Lbs??? :stuned: I normally just use my short ratchet tighten it snug... I don't even bother with a torquing bar. Every oil change it seriously tight on mine...:banghead:
