Well just got in from draining the trans. and not good. I ran my magnet around in there and came out with  two small chunks of gear and a bunch of fine metal shavings. I hate to run it till it fails because

Well just got in from draining the trans. and not good. I ran my magnet around in there and came out with  two small chunks of gear and a bunch of fine metal shavings. I hate to run it till it fails because I sometimes haul heavy. Who would be good to just buy a rebuilt 4500 from.

I'm sold on Dynamic as a rebuilder. Bit far for you unless you crate it up and ship it to him. I just spent Monday watching him rebuild my 46RE transmission for my 1996 Dodge Ram 1500.

I wonder what he would charge for a general rebuild, or would he have a trans in stock and just ship it.

 

All I can say is talk to him...
