Hay all. I've had a Diablo PP, boost elbow and boost fooler for quite some time. Recently the fooler died so I removed it. I still can get boost over 27, yet I don't throw a code? What am I missing? I thought I'd get a code after 22? Or will I have to maintain 22+ for a certain amount of time ??

Does the power puck plug into the map?

 

If it does then the power puck is boost fooling

No. Just into the pump harness. I wonder why I'm not getting codes??

Map might be unable to read higher than x psi due to age?

Mines been around 30 psi plenty of times and it's only thrown an over boost code once. I'm sure there's a certain amount of time before it sets a code. 

Also mine didn't turn the check engine light on, only showed up on a scan tool. 

Thanks Buzzin. I won't worry about getting another fooler. If it doesn't put my truck into limp mode then I have no problem with clearing a code every now and then...
