Today everything was fine until suddenly the abs lights pop up... when I stopped I heard something running and it was the booster pump motor. Even with the key off it was going 90 to nothing. I unplugged it and it stops. Plugged back in still has same issue. What could it be any ideas?

Pretty sure you need a new abs electronics.

Basically needs to be pulled apart and all the electronics resoldered/flowed.

Thanks but in readings it's been ground wires and possible bad abs modules just looking for the least expensive first... I went on a hunch last time and spent $4500 when it was bad batteries and a loose ground... not saying you're wrong just want to be sure I'm on the right track

Call Module Masters in Moscow, ID they can rebuild the module for $130 and 5 year warranty.

Yes the truck is drivable without the module.

That's not to bad but how do I make certain this is the issue

Ship the module to them and they will test and repair as needed. If nothing is wrong they will ship it right back. But I'm going to bet that the module is bad being the pump motor is running non-stop and that's a sign of a failed MOSFET internally.

If your grounds are ok .......which i never heard of causing this issue ..... don't see another way to check .......

 

I just know that's an issue on our trucks that they can fix.

You could try calling them I believe it's about $100 fix and they warranty the fix

ABS ground is right at the driver side fender shield near the headlight.

 

There is a MOSFET chip that goes bad on this control unit in which the Gate burns out and is left in an short condition state, thus allowing power to continously go to the ABS pump.

Hey moparman I bought one of those OBDII LINK and I don't have half the gauges  and metering as you... was the there something I missed or is there extras?

It's all there is just in the matter of setting up everything.
