So my A/C isn't blowing that cold of air out. It'll get somewhat cool, but not cold like A/C should. I recently did the heater treated fix and it definitely made the heater air hotter. I took apart my blower motor and it wasn't a mess. I cleaned it up anyways. The resistor doesn't look that bad. Probably stock but no major cracks or anything. Is it just in need of a basic A/C recharge?

Do you have manifold gauges? Could you tell me you hi and lo side pressures. Also is your compressor cycling lock and unlock?

No manifold gaugues so not sure on the pressures.

 

The compressor sounds like it's cycling. You can hear it make a click/hum sound every so often so it sounds like it's working.

No. It not working it should lock and stay locked. Sign it's low on Freon. Lo side pressure drops below 25 PSI it will cycle out to prevent freezing. So you have to increase lo side pressure so you see about 35 PSI. Every time the compressor cycles out the heated reverses flow putting heated Freon back in the evaporator which produces warm discharge from the vent.

So just to double check. If the little black bottle behind the intake and turbo isn't wet on the outside after running the A/C on high for a while then that's low freon right? 

Typically really low system will have a cycling compressor even if you hold the throttle at 1,500 RPM. Now a close to right will be locked constant at an idle might see frost on the accumulator can still a sign of low charge. Prefect charge should hold the compressor locked at idle or 1,500 RPM and the accumulator can should sweat heavily. This typically found at about 35-40 PSI low side pressure.

 

NOTE: Pressure numbers will vary depending on outside temperature and fan speed.
