Ok, a couple of times recently I noticed a slight hesitation while attempting to accelerate. Happens when rpms are just above idle while I'm trying to accelerate from 2nd gear to 3rd gear. Feels kind of like a dead pedal but not completely.
Points to ponder:
- Issue seems to happen only if the truck is cold and I don't give it a chance to properly warm up
- Seems fine once truck is warm.
- it's not mis-firing or sputtering, more like the pedal is momentarily not completely responding.
- I am NOT getting any cel or codes associated with this.
- 2 weeks ago installed the timbo apps and calibrated it properly. (I had an intermittent dead pedal and codes 1693 & 0121. I don't recall today's issues happening before I changed the apps. Also, today's issue is not a profound actual dead pedal like the 0121 is. I cleared the 0121 after installing the timbo apps. Issue has not re-occurred.
Wondering if today's issue is due to the ecu deliberately reducing fuel in relation to low engine temp and intake air temp? If my issue as described is normal expected behavior because I'm not letting the truck warm up before going, then would the mopar1973man high idle kit help me?
