October 19, 20186 yr Do you have a rail pressure gauge? the stock pump does just fine. might be worth seeing what your pump is doing with a fuel pressure gauge, but I would not throw money at an issue that may or may not exist.
October 19, 20186 yr Author I don't have any gauges just got the truck last week. was concerned about hours and miles planning a long trip don't need any problems
October 19, 20186 yr I would do a check on all fluids then. rent an oil pressure gauge from autozone and test your fuel pressure. Get an obdlink reader and you can verify all the sensor data, including rail pressure. Edited October 19, 20186 yr by Me78569
November 27, 20186 yr I replaced one in my 2016 with 300k miles on it. Looking back, I should have fixed it 50k miles earlier.
