I read a while back somewheres that there's a resister you can put in to allow for higher trans pressure from aftermarket valve body and torque. Does anyone know where I can get one and instructions for install? Thanks, Donald

I have never heard of that one. Maybe you are thinking of an improved governor solenoid valve from suncoast converters that will handle higher pressures without high failure rates of the stock ones.

No, there is a resistor that people put in to fool the computer into thinking it's running regular pressure. I read about it a while back and now I can't find the thread. Donald

Ok I got it, but it is to bandaid a governor solenoid issue.It really has nothing to do with higher pressures. If it is seeing higher values there is a problem electrically and people are hiding / COVERING UP the problem raTHER THAN FIXING IT.

This is the cure. Not a cover up bandaid like a diode which masks the true problem.

I'm on my second set of govenor switches, and it will go into limp mode almost every time for the first drive of the day. I also read that the wire going to the alternater needs to be better isolated from engine. Donald

yeah - wish I'd known too. I had the same problem - it was fixed with a new VB with lower pressure from the guys I got it from. I think the options if you don't want to get the solenoid kit above is the resistor method or turning down the valve line pressure manually. The resistors/voltage regulator can be added until the voltage is between 4.5-to5v but have someone else confirm that - just what I read. Finally you can adjust the line pressure itself.
