I read the article on the old style switch but i havent seen a thread on the new style switch? Has anyone did a new style up there and i bought the short harness that i was told i needed for the extra length.

I know one guy did, but he never posted any pictures or anything and I can't remember much beyond he did it.

I installed the new style in the overhead.  I added a 12" extension cable that I bought from Amazon and it works great.

I got high idle switch installed but i want to put a longer wire on the extension on it maybe like 3 feet to be sure i have plenty of wire out on the engine bay, does anyone know the part number for a 3 foot one from amazon?

any 8 pin molex should work.

I only needed a 1ft extension to get to the overhead console.  I don't know if the high idle cable differ in length, but that is all I need to make it fit. 

Installation of the High Idle in the overhead console also ordered the 12" extension to ensure I have enough on the other side of the firewall.
