Posted May 23, 20196 yr I'm having trouble removing the back 3 injector lines. Not from the head but the brackets holding them down on the deck. Do I need to remove the engine lift bracket to do this, because those bolts wont budge. Where exactly are these bolts located that hold down these lines? Thanks
May 24, 20196 yr They are on top of the intake cover for the most part. There also some brackets that hold 2 sets of 3 going to the VP. Clamps with blu blocks. These are all very obvious unless I am missing something.
May 24, 20196 yr Author I've removed all of the bolts on the intake cover that i could see that hold down the lines. Are there bolts behind the engine hoist that I wouldnt see unless I could take it off?
May 24, 20196 yr Author I got the engine lift bracket off but these back lines still aren't budging. I might just start taking the lines off individually even though it'll be a pain to put back together.
May 24, 20196 yr They are not that difficult to put back on. They pretty much can only go on one way. I had take those same 3 off individually when changed my head gasket. Whats the reason for removal? Dont loose any of the blocks or clamps. I had to replace some. The screws, metal clamps and the blue blocks were 7 or 8 bucks apiece from Cummins.
