We finally made it to the new server. I would like to say sorry for the lost post. This was due to the fact the domain name hand off was done poorly and the time it took for the servers around the world to update there domain name server took longer than expected. So we were posting on the old server for a day. Now e are for sure on the new server... Again sorry for lost of information in the forum.

I've got lots of work now on my side to do. Like first off the LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) package needs to be fully updated, configured, and optimized. Like we moved from MySQL to MariaDB. They basically work the same but small difference in configuring. I've got thing to look at like the email system, web server, etc. All these software have to be tuned and configured yet for the newer software.

Just the quick benchtesting I've done I've seen a vast improvement in page time already. It just going to get better when its all tuned in like my Quadzilla on my truck.

Playing the sick card today... I'm not going out to work in the snow. Nope not happening... I'll sit right here at mission command and work on the web site today. I'm going to keep moving on with tuning. I've found a few articles about some of the internal caching software I'm going to light the server as much as possible. My truck is in the shop. Jacobs is in front of the door. Lil' Red is up by my place. Nasty storm calling for 12 to 18 inches by tonight.

Now straighten out the mySQL database. Being when I upgraded servers the software that runs the database was changed out from one name to another. There is minor changed between the two softwares and this transfer put the table in COMPACT mode to save space. The Software for the forum complains about it being limited to the DYNAMIC tables. Here I am changing each and every database table over by hand in the backroom. Again I'm working in the back end and not seen, maybe see a bit of speed improvement... So I'm getting everything caught up and tuned up as I go system to system.

OLD SERVER has been cancelled and no longer being used the move is completed. I dove back in and grabbed my tool scripts and downloaded quickly. Then called that hosting company told them to cancel the hosting. This company still hosts the domain name which is still good till October 2022.
