1999 5.9 cummins crank but no start and no tach P0522

Truck currently does not start I can disconnect one data link wire from vp and it will fire up and run. Currently it has dtc P0523 oil pressure sensor voltage high code.

It might be attempting to use the VP44 for the tach signal. Both the VP44 have a tone wheel and then the tone wheel on the crank. The cam sensor is only a TDC marker that's all.

 

In the 2000 to 2002 Dodge trucks only have a cam sensor. Which is just a relocated crank sensor.
