Does anyone have a link or an exploded view of how the dodge saginaw steering gears work? such as what is in the guts of them? i did a search and came up empty handed. It is anything like the ford recirculating ball boxes? Are they integral or non integral steering boxes?

I don't have anything specific on a Dodge saginaw steering box but I do have a reference on a GM saginaw steering box. This web site has the rebuild manual for a GM saginaw steering box. http://selectric.org/manuals/sagMAN/index.html It might be of some help if you are just trying to see how it works or visualize the design functioning of the box.

thanks eagle! i had an idea that it might be similar with those recirculating balls but was unsure. I guess when i buy my new box i can take apart the old one and make a posting about it.

War Eagle is pretty close to right with the document... :smart:At least the older 70's Dodge boxes where very close to the Chevy doc... As a matter of fact I just done a modified 70's Dodge gear box for a older 1972 Ford truck...
