Posted March 8, 201213 yr I see in the service manual that it was possible to get an Allison transmission behind the CTD in a Dodge. Was this available for 2500 and up, or was it for the 4500-5500 series? Was it a 4 or 5 spd.?

Was it a 4 or 5 spd.? It wasn't an Allison..............I'm almost positive it was an "Aisin" transmission to which you're refering.

March 12, 201213 yr The 545RFE is a Chrysler made automatic transmission used behind gas motors in multiple applications. The Allison 1000 is used exclusively by GM as an OEM transmission. The C&C trucks us an Aisin AS68RC.
