Hi, Andrew. Are you asking/wanting to know the nut-size for the 2WD front hub?

My truck is a 4x4 and I honestly dont know if they are the same but Ive always used 1 5/8 socket and never had any issues.

The 1 5/8 socket will work, but it's more like a 42 or 43 mm, which I have yet to find!

a 1500 2wd has a 36mm nut.I keep reading (almost everywhere) that it's 1-11/16", which is 42.817.462 (11/16") + 25.4 (1") = 42.862, or 43mm

i had worked on either Dodge Ram 2500 to Ram 3500 with 4x4, it is 1 11/16... but it is for 4x2 (2 wheel drive) problem is i has 41mm shallow that would fit in but little sloppy(loose).... i am suspect it may be 1 5/8??? i just want buy a correct one to keep in travel toolbox... i has 204,200 miles on it, i dont know when the wheel bearings will go bad but just be prepare to do...
