Has anyone tried a stacked rotary switch similar to the switch on the bottom of pg 3 of the attached link to get everything into one switch with multiple positions for each of the functions/combinations needed to get both the High Idle & MPG Foolers into one pkg? I haven't sat down and sketched it out to see if it's even possible, just thought I'd check before playing it all out. It would require more then one of each resistor but they're cheap and would reduce the wires through the firewall to 4 and just one switch. No idea how many "stacks" the switch would need or number of "load" terminals for all the possible combinations involved but I'll work that out. It is more complicated then the original design but would result in a cleaner install. Would definitely need an index list for all the positions. Input on the concept would be greatly appreciated. http://www.alliedelec.com/images/products/datasheets/bm/NKK_SWITCHES_OF_AMERICA/70192244.pdf

Be careful with any throttle holding device. This mod is not safe and the truck could be launched in gear without any way to cancel the cruise control so if you were in a hurry are upset and not thinking drop trans in reverse you might have a truck that shoving you down the drive backwards uncontrolled. I prefer a mod that if you touch the brake, throttle, trans place in gear or truck starts moving it Cancels the high idle. This way there is no mistakes and no one get hurt.

I'll have to draw up the schematic in my head on how to include the MPG fooler with the high idle setup.

Where can I get the high idle fooler you made? I'm interested in buying one

Hi Gang,I installed the 2.2K 1/2watt IAC resistor tonight.Gotta drive about 60 miles tomorrow. I'll see if the overhead mpg average changes much.

Ok, thanks Michael!

I'll report what I get just the same.

Ok, I got a .9mpg improvement although there were less redlights & stop signs on this trip than normal.

Tomorrow will be 90 miles much like today's route so it'll be more apples to apples.

Good news, my regular fuel stop is adding 5 to 20% Bio to their fuel.

First off #1, thanks Michael for brainstorming & starting this project!Ok, picked up another .6 mpg and raised speed from 63mph to 65mph.All improvements were indicated on the overhead, that's why I don't post actual/total mpg, just changes.Regardless, I'm going to keep the resistor in place for now.
