So I put a manual boost controller (basically, an adjustable boost elbow, only located in a different spot) on my '97.My 97's HX35 WGA gets its boost signal from the AFC "T" port, rather than the compressor housing's elbow.Without it, I see about 20-22psi under load, max. With it, in full boost adjustment, I get MAYBE 25psi..I also tried pinching off the WGA's signal hose, and it made no difference. With a #100 plate, full-forward, shouldn't it:A: smoke hard under off-boost conditions when the pedal is mashedB: make 30+psi boost under full load, like say, a 30mph roll, flatten the pedalI get neither of these conditions.. It'll mildly smoke under full-throttle stomps, and will produce a short, heavy black smoke puff when I stab it from a stop.. But that's about it..no, I don't want the heavy smoke, but it should be a product of the situation, no?Is it a fueling/timing/fuel-flow issue? Ideas? Discuss::wts:

ISX, I found the rubber line and pinched it down. Pressure shot up to like 35psi fp! So I'm thinking the new OFV is no Bueno. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2

ISX, I replaced the new ofv with the old one, and stretched the spring a tad as well as added a little piece of a pen spring.. boost gauge in lower right is my temporary fuel pressure. With the "new" ofv before, it idles arould 16ish and I never saw higher than 20psi. This OEM modded one's pressure is pictured below.Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2

Whatever you did make sure it doesn't go over 45-50psi.. It could crack the fuel filter housing (supposedly). But it does prove your lift pump is still good. I would just order a tork tek OFV so you can adjust it easily. My old one has a huge hole in the bottom too and its a piece of crap. My new one has a 0.08" hole and its much better. I think the hole itself acts as a restriction and helps it out a lot.

it'll drop to ~30psi under load which isn't much movement of the needle. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2

Thanks, Rick. I almost 'have to' track them down; I've got no choice otherwise :banghead:

I'm still banging away at the 47RE issues, however LOL
