My rear brakes (drum) have never really grabbed much. I recently replaced a leaking wheel cylinder and for a few brake applications they worked awesome. The rear abs actually activated. By now I'm back to the previous laziness. What can be wrong? It's a real pain having only front brakes at icey intersections.

Did you put the stock cylinder back in? That would have been a great time to upgrade to the larger cylinders.

Larger cylinders? That is a new one to me but I sure would've if I'd known.

Follow the link that Mopar1973man posted. I have changed two of them in my driveway with nothing but hand tools in about an hour. They are real easy and a direct bolt in.They really do improve the brakes!

Last I checked the cylinders were only about $25 for the pair.

edit: I lied to you. I just checked and they are $9.69 each close to me. If you decide you want them don't tell the person behind the counter that they are fior a Dodge. All that would do is confuse them. The cylinders are for a 1 ton Chevy truck.
