I bought new injectors and my engine serial number is less than the number websites say. Do I need new crossover tubes or am should I buy new ones cheapest I found was like 23 dollars each o rings iincluded.would it be cheaper at a cummins dealer?

What year? Ive never replaced them with injectors but i think it was the 98-99 that they say you should replace.

98.5 my serial number is lower was looking at new crossover tubes and I couldn't think why they would be worth that much

I would imagine the manufacturing process with that hard of steel adds to the cost. DAP has them a little cheaper but not sure of the brand plus you would have to buy the o rings. $23 bucks for Cummins s about average.

On my 01 I changed the orings only. The tubes were fine.

What is the difference between 98-99 and later cross over tubes? This is the first I've heard of this, I installed all new o rings when I did my injectors but used my OEM tubes.
