I am installing a new Edge Juice with Attitude in my 2001 Dodge Ram 2500. The kit comes with a new Boost Elbow, but my turbo has the hard line between the tubo and the waste gate actuator. All it said in the manual is that on some trucks you can't install the elbow.

What affect will this have? I read something in a thread about installing a turnbuckle on the WGA, but when I searched for more information, noting came up. I am assuming that you are installing it on the rod from the WGA to the WG and using the turnbuckle to adjust the psi the WG opens at.

Is this worth doing? The truck is basically stock, BHAF and 4" exh but no other HP mods.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

It installs in the front of compressor housing.  You remove the clamp on the hose that comes from the waste gate and turn out the current elbow and thread in the new one.  Connect the hose and I think Edge gives you a hose clamp to use.  Do you have a manual or auto outta curiosity.  01' autos had a HY and manuals a HX-35.

Yep if you have an auto tranny you have an HY35 turbo which doesn't have a boost elbow, it has a different type of waste gate which needs the J-hook to hold it closed a bit longer meaning it adds more spring tension on it externally requiring a bit more boost to get it to open.

That HY is gonna get super hot...i could get my coolant temp to rise over 190 with a 180 t-stat with an edge EZ, nevermind a comp or jwa
