the aluminum drive line i see people talking about.

my truck QCLB, has the two piece shaft.

i'v read many comments about the aluminum one wearing out. what wears out? do they twist? stretch?

 

please enlighten me.

They twist and the yokes can get worn out.  I have mine rebuilt every year or so.  Usually, you start to break u joints pretty frequently or you can feel a vibration in the pedal when they start to twist.

Kind of like a weird deal on GMC/Chevy's they used two different sized U-joint on each end...
