  1. Did mine the other day too.. pretty straightforward. I tore the crap out of the "rubber boot" that covers the battery wire/nut. Didn't feel too rubber to me..
  2. Unless I'm blind.. I can't find the Super Tech brand on walmart.ca (Canada).. but they do have this: http://www.walmart.ca/en/ip/outboard-2-cycle-engine-oil-946ml/6000111967476 I'm guessing it's the same stuff.. just re-badged. What do you guys think?
  3. I can see the "classifieds" ad now... "Truck for sale - Low KM's - Like NEW"... Wow.
  4. The touchless car wash did a good job of removing the top few inches of mine the a couple months back.. on both sides.. grrrr!
  5. heh heh.. You sure they're interchangeable? ;)
  6. So my heating issue doesn't appear to be the blend door assembly either. The motor was working fine... I could see it turning back and forth when moved the heat control cold/hot. But I was thinking maybe the connector piece was broken and wasn't moving the door all the way. Finally got an offset screwdriver and got the motor assembly out of the way today and got a good look at the plastic connector.. it's fine, not broken that I can tell. I tried manually turning the door back and forth and it seems to be okay as well. Opening and closing fully.. at this point I'm thinking the heater core must be plugged up a bit or something. Truck temperature is at 190.. but on full hot I'm only getting lukewarm air. Already replaced the thermostat the other day..*sigh*.. It can NEVER be the simple fixes can it?! haha
  7. The Kirkland batteries from Costco are very good as well. Keep in mind that - as with most things - there are really only a few big companies that make the batteries - they're all just re-badged. From what I understand, Johnson Controls manufactures the Kirkland batteries, as well as Optima, Diehard, Interstate, Motorcraft and Duralast. Everstart are made my Exide I believe.. The other big manufacturer is Delphi.
  8. Bumping an old thread here.. but in this video the guy says that it will re-calibrate itself, so not to worry about the orientation when you remove it (he says it at 3:44): http://www.heatertreater.net/videos.html#ram Can anyone who has done this procedure confirm one way or the other?
  9. Hey guys,Was thinking of pulling my alternator fuse for the drive home after work today..2 questions, where is the fuse? Is it obvious to find? IE - diagram on the underside of the fuse lid like most vehicles?Second, my drive home is about 30 minutes.. am I risking any damage having the fuse out for that long? If someone could give me an answer in the next ~20 minutes, that'd be great!
