  1. Was it the PCM or the ECU? I'm very curious because mine is doing the exact same thing minus the headlight problem and mine is a 2007 with 6.7L. Mine went to WOT and I kicked it to neutral and killed the key. It has yet to start back. Engine will turn over but no communication and also on my gauge cluster the check gauges light is on and my PRND indicator is not lighting up. luckily at my current job we have a 66,000# rollback. If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it.

My 2002 had some body damage and really needed a new bed. And from what I have heard the 2013 are not able to have DPF removed but that is just hear say idk for sure

Has anyone changed out a CCV filter? My overhead console keeps saying service required see dealer now. Had them check when truck was at performance shop and they said that the code relates to that filter. I have one ordered from cummins and it should be here Thursday. Is it hard to change? How often to change? Hopefully not often at $80 a filter plus shipping.

Have not done any appearance work and will not do much. Just tint my windows and a set of mid tires when these wear out. Possibly some ranch hand or road armor bumpers but idk yet. Looks like the perfect sleeper truck right now lol. Old man truck( I am told) but with slight modifications

And yes this does have a lot more power than my 2002 ever thought of having even with the 6.7 stock. Had the transmission tuned while it was at the shop and it makes a big difference in the shift quality. Gained about 3 mpg with the engine tuned compared to stock. And the 5in pipe sounds amazing lol

Sorry for the long wait on reply have been busy at work. Got two tractors with transmissions out, one with turbo problems, and a fertilizer truck with steering issues. It is a 4 door long bed with the slt package. It 106637 on the clock when I picked it up. And so far I'm liking it more than I thought. I miss my manual trans when towing but this truck is new enough to have the 6 speed auto with gear limitation( IDR exactly what it is called off hand).

Well gang the wife made me sell out sort of lol. I sold my 2002 for $11000. Only way she would let me get a new truck was if she could drive it. Needless to say I had to buy an auto tranny. Got a 2008 3500 4x4 and gave $26000. Is this a good price? I have already carried it to the shop and had a good bit of work done to it. DPF delete, 5in straight pipe, shut down the EGR cooler but did not delete, and had it tuned on efilive. Any other things I should do?
  11. Well stuff is starting to look up since I got back from vacation. Had a tree limb fall on hood of truck while we were gone and it did $904 worth of damage to truck. Started looking around for a new hood and found a hood, grill, and bed for $200. those three parts will fix most of the body damage to my truck. Also got my new fuel tank/toolbox combo ordered, new tires will be put on truck on Wednesday and depending on money will order a set of RV275's to put in. Hopefully the good luck will continue for a while. Anyone had there whole truck painted? If so what did it cost?
  12. I guess I will have to order a kit then
  13. Where did you get your exhaust from? Been looking into a 4" but I cant find anyone around here that will bend pipe that large.
  14. thanks for the info guys. i may tinker with the wastegate rod this weekend if I have time.
  15. Mine to for now. about to have my whole truck painted in a month or so
  16. It sounds like pressures are incorrect when compressor kicks on. When I charge systems i pull vacuum and then put one can in. after that first can i start the vehicle and turn on a/c and blower as high as they will go. then i put freon in til i have about 25-30 psi on low side and no more than 250 on high side. I never get any complaints from people that run the tractors. Charged a few trucks the same way with problems.
  17. Yes it is an HX35W. It is not a Holset turbp but a in-house version from the place I ordered. It is just a get me by til I get the new cartdrige for my Holset. It is all the same except name. I did not know if there was a way to adjust the linkage from the actuator or if I would have to get different parts.

When i was on rescue squad that almost happened to me. I was out one dark night looking for rotation and could only see when the lightning went across the sky. It was a minute or two between a lightning bolt and when i saw the next one there was a strong rotation picking up about a half mile from me.
  19. I know nothing about wastegates because I have never dealt with them. John Deere does not have them lol
  20. Since i put this new turbo on i have not seenit build over 18psi of boost. Could they have the wastegate set to that and is there a way to adjust it to where it builds about 25psi?

Well I got around to building a spray boom to put on the fourwheeler today. Did my math wrong though. I have a 1gpm pump on sprayer and thought I could safely handle 5 nozzles without overworking the pump but the pump is to small to handle that much flow requirements. Aside from that it works great. I have a ten foot boom and only 70 dollars in it. But will have to upsize on pumps which will be another fifty dollars. - - - Updated - - -
  22. Sorry about the pic bein upside down. And I'm hoping to roll it over 200000 before the end of the year. Shouldn't be hard as I drive over 350 miles a week
  23. Getting close to the mark

I wrench on John Deere equipment all day. Rebuild motors and trans general maintenance work to even having to call the factory on some problems with newer equipment.
  25. I know but how much are they gonna cost lol I'm broke with me moving 60 miles away lol:broke:. I thought about changing them out to a Weatherpak connector but will still have the one on sensor that I can't change
