  1. I had to take them both out a couple times so I could get the updated vp bracket set right. Neither of the gears came out of place or anything so I think it’s safe to say it’s fine to do that. i was concerned about opening a can of worms but it all went well. Thanks again I appreciate your input
  2. Thank you, John. The graphic is very helpful too
  3. I have my injection pump off and have to replace the bracket. Is it true the vacuum and power steering pumps can be removed when the vp is also out? I’m worried about timing gears falling out of place thanks
  4. I appreciate the sentiment Mike. I hope it’s not too long until you’re healed up and full of energy. I’m considering the hotshot route, getting in touch with a specific company is my preferred choice but so far all I can find is dispatchers and I’m trying to avoid paying them to be a middle man. As far as the truck, I’m not sure what’s going on. I got it way too hot a few weeks back 1600 degrees for maybe 3 seconds or so and shortly after that it’s been leaking and I think consuming oil. I’m not great at diagnostics and haven’t had a chance to look at it really close. So I’d like to get it to Illinois where I have knowledgeable friends and an indoor workspace. I work out of eastern Montana in summer and have to work on my truck on the side of the street. I’m not tough enough to do that during winter haha
  5. As luck would have it my truck runs but isn’t road worthy and I’m trying to get it moved from eastern Montana to northern Illinois. Both addresses are immediately off the interstate. Does anyone here have recommendations for who I can hire to move my dually? None of my retired friends are up to the task
  6. It’s great you’ve been cancer free and continue to do what makes you happy. What draws you to TikTok instead of YouTube or Instagram? I’ve never been on it
  7. I’ve got a buddy living off grid in Michigan with some similar circumstances. My friend and I are planning to get some wood for him soon too. It seems like you have a good community of friends close to you. I’m glad you’re making the most of things and keeping busy.
  8. Thank you for the replies. Looks like the braket holding the vp on from the bottom is broken. I’m going to try unbolting the power steering there and see if I can get that whole bracket off to take in to the welder. Removal was easy so far
  9. I’ve got codes 0253, 1689, and 1688 so I think I did a pretty good job of cooking the vp44. DAP is getting me set up with a new one but before I put it in, does anyone have any recommendations for things I should look at to preserve the next pump? i have over boost code 0234 so I’ll check the waste gate to see if it moves (I guess?) also am planning to check ac noise and do the w-t mod. i have the DAP intake elbow, quadzilla, and stealth plate coming too
  10. I haven’t checked for codes lately. But you’re saying that any boost after 20psi isn’t producing power unless I have a programmer? My truck looked stock and had a broken head stud when I got it but when I put the egt probe in, I saw it has a speed steed manifold. It’s hx 35 though
  11. I have a similar setup to you and can get 30+ boost psi
