  1. that timbo makes one hell of a product and he is one of the coolest guys in the game...that sensor fixed problems i didnt even know i had i hope that man does really well with this great peice of work....
  2. blue chip diesel are a bunch of a** holes and there pumps are no better then other pumps they are an over priced company who treat people like retards all are parts are brand new bla bla bla who cares there are people i know that know a vp44 better then them clowns but i would go with industrial injection for a hot rod pump and i wanna give u A HELL YEAH on the sa 200 my faviort welder with a 3 cil perkins..... wine em dine em n pipeline em
  3. Just wondering how much a short shift kit helps pros and cons about them been thinking of getting one just wanna make sure there worth the money
  4. When I was at goff injection the showed me in a manual that boch was olny calling for like .4 bar witch equals out to just under 5 lbs and the machine they test the vp's on runs a solid 5 lbs and that's like a 70,000 doller unit but I don't think I would let it go lower then 10 lbs so I'm not sayin your wrong cause I've heard that same thing a ton but what I seen in the manual kinda changed my mind blue chip diesel says the same thing and they also say to NOT run over 15 lbs and that's stupid to me I like running 24 at idal and the lowest I see is 17 wot but that's how I like it
  5. Just don't ever let go under 6psi but my stock lift pump would idal at 17 and wot with chip would go down to 7
  6. ive seen lift pumps go out 3 months after being new and if you can hear it runing that dont mean its working the p1682 code ive seen befor on my buddys truck and it is a charging prob but what throws me is your truck wont start and it has good cranking power cause my buddy would just shut off his truck and restart it and it would goaway for a few weeks turned out to be a loose wire going to pdc under the hood but i think there is more codes on there but i may be wrong cause his truck never died his amps gauge would just go to 0 and his check engine light would come on autozone will read the codes for free but u gotta get the truck downthere to test it or find one and the truck will seem to run ok with a bad lift pump then all at once the truck dies and ya find out the faulty lift pump knocked out the inj pump and im not saying thats your prob im just saying that is how it hapens and it wouldent put me in a great deal of shock if that was it but i think id start off checking fuses under hood and in cab get a code reader and check fuel pres keep me posted
  7. I would get a fuel pres gauge and codes read you will find more codes for sure. Do you have fuel coming out of all the injector lines cause ive seen vp44 fail and still have fuel coming out like 2 injectors and the way it just died that could be ur problem the injection pump is lubed by the lift pump if that gos out ur inj pump will go that is why a fuel psi gauge is a MUST HAVE did it run funny befor it died power loss cutout any thing crazy. But with runing a comp and stock lift pump I bet ur inj pump is gone but I'd get a code reader on it and that will tell u more p1693 is just saying there is more codes on there
  8. I would get a code reader on there and you will get more codes the key trick is good on some trucks and sketchy on others I dono y but it seems like my sucks but I'd get a code reader for sure and see. what's your fuel pres. And what's all done to the truck
  9. Well after a lot of money and tons of time I fixed the problem witch is good cause the next step was a bullet in the head but the apps sensor was toast and never throw a code weird I know but I guess they do it alot in a manual trans it fixed problems I never know I had taking off in 2nd is so smooth now and it is just a dream to drive if u have a manual and any thing lik little cuttin out I'd geta new apps olny 160 bucks and Tim is a real good guy to work with atleast give him a call http://www.dodgecumminsapps.com/index.html it's well worth it thanks to all andhope i can help
  10. I just got my new apps sensor I will be putting it on tomarrow and taking it for a 600 mile trip this weekend but the guy I bought the apps from said it's real commen to have this happen on a manual trans and not get any codes but monday I'll let u know if that helps me or not I prey to god it does cause this makes me crazy
  11. I wouldent make it an everyday thing but I do it from time to time.
  12. The most common problem when a APPS sensor is failing is a "Dead Pedal" You'll be driving down the road and hit the go pedal and NOTHING. A real annoying problem._The most common codes are the 0121,0122,222,223 code. Another issue is a surging or a bucking, this often times will not throw any codes.http://www.dodgecumminsapps.com/index.html
  13. Runing a little 2 stroke oil. I checked all connections and all seemed good. I was wondering if the apps was outta wack would it not cut out with cruse on? I was also wondring would the apps do it in every gear cause the truck will cutout in any gear when I try to hold around 2000 rpms olny when truck is hot tho no prob the first 20 min of driving. And was wondering if the apps sensor is the same in a auto as in a manual witch I think it would be cause the ECM is doing the work and the apps is just telling the ECM how much throttle it has at all times but I may be wrong that's just my theory
  14. I have a 2001 cummins I've had this problem for some time now after I drive it for 30 min or so it starts to cut out at around 1800 rpms and above it will not hold a steady spot I just changed the vp44 it has not ever thrown a code ounce I have 18lbs pressure to the pump at all times the chip has been taken off and that don't make a diff I'm really lost on this one it's a 5 speed manual and ounce it starts doin it and I pull over and put it in neutral and try to hold rpm a like two grand it will go down to like 1400 and jump back up then down to like 1800 then up to like 2200 it's making me crazy thanks for any help... And thanks to mopar man for taking so much time to help out the av Joe
