  1. With the truck on, not running, or on, running, or truck off? I appreciate the time you are taking to help me sort this out Nick.
  2. Every time I try to use the tune it locks up the tablet. Yes it appears for the short time the tablet is functioning the tune is applied. as soon as I reboot and restart iQuad and switch back to the base tune it functions until I try to change the tune to the DD base
  3. Nick, I built my tune using your DD parameters as a starting point to build my tune. I have V2 Dodge 1998-2002 4K selected. The tablet was already running and I watched the app quit responding and received a notice that the app wasnt responding, I was not adjusting anything. When I rebooted my tablet I switched back to the base 4kv2 flash here on the site.
  4. So after talking with customer support and getting my Adrenaline updated to V2 on the 4k box I decided to start building a tune. I started with Nicks DD tune and a started my test drive. Only made it a couple hundred yards and iQuad froze, to the point it locked up my tablet. I dont want to call Zilla back and waste their time since there is a plethora of knowledge here. is there an update for the app I need or is it a tune related error?
  5. So this whole ordeal started with a truck I bought for a donor to swap into a Chevy truck. The truck is a 98.5 24v (build date 2/98) and it had 388xxx miles. It needed an ECM and a VP44, Turns out I had both on the shelf from previous builds. Long story short I got 2200 miles out of the engine before it ate a bearing. I had an 01 engine sitting that I had done a VE pump swap to for my crew cab. figured I'd just drop it in and keep trucking, HAHAHAHA not so simple. After scouring the usual sources for info I couldn't find much. The first fire up yielded a miss at part throttle and a CEL. Broke out the scanner and found a CMK sensor error, switched to live data and found a dead crank position sensor. Now 98.5-00 engines and ECMs use a CAM and a Crank position sensor, my 01 engine didn't have the tone ring on the crank, easy fix right? Well kinda. Turns out that you'll need the 01 or 02 ECM for your 01 or 02 engine, to correct the errant CMP signal error I built an extension harness to move the "crank" sensor wiring to the Cam position. Turns out I had stripped the tone wheel from my 01 cam when I did my VE pump swap. Pulled the cam and replaced the tone wheel. Yes it does matter where the missing "tooth" goes by the way. At this point the only issue I have is the AC is inop, the ECM controls the compressor clutch in 01 trucks and the PCM controls it in 98.5 trucks, I'm working on a fix for that at the moment and I'll update as I work out any further issues.
  6. Well turns out the powersteering fluid was low, abs light went out after bleeding the powersteering.
  7. cant swap an 01 harness without swapping the ENTIRE engine compartment and cab harness, the early 98.5 to 2000 harness ties the PCM into the harness differently.
  8. 01 engine, 01 ecm, 98.5 harness with 01 pcm (manual transmission) 01 MAP sensor, custom extension harness for the crank sensor to relocate to the timing case (yes I have to correct reluctor wheel on the cam). All three rpm data sources read nominally the same. CCD buss checks out, I couldn't get the ABS module to activate via scanner, I swapped in the 98.5 ecm and ABS light is still on with no codes and still won't trigger with scan tool.
  9. So I just finished dropping an 01 engine in a 98.5 truck, dealt with the cmp signal error. But now my abs light won't go out. No abs related codes, no CELs and I can't get the ABS, motor to actuate via the scanner (modus from snap on). What am I missing?
