  1. With the VE I was stuck at one power level. I'm not saying it didn't have power but being able to tailor my power level to driving conditions as well. I can dial it back if needed. When I built my last truck I kept the VP44 and have had zero issues with it. Keep the fuel pressure above 12psi and get a fuel pressure gauge to keep an eye on it....
  2. I've messed extensively with a VE 24V and the BEST the BEST I ever got hand calculated was 28mpg.........
  3. Been there and done that..... The quadzilla and a Bosch reman vp44 is far more desirable to drive. You need to have whatever injectors you decide to run popped to the VE pressure as well. Speaking from experience The only reason I'd go back to a VE pump is just to say I was running one. If your deadset on doing it I have a set of custom NONIC delivery valves setup to use stock vp44 injection lines. For some reason I can't post a pic of my 24v with a VE pump.
  4. @Me78569 I was under the assumption that switching the box off and back on while the truck was running was a bad idea. I certainly had that thought but was concerned about the ecm and box loosing connection while running.
  5. @Quadzilla_Stephen would the Adrenaline being on one battery and the jump box on the other be enough? As much as I'd like to run a 3rd isolated battery I'm kinda out of room with the current configuration of my truck..... If I have to shutdown my truck and restart it twice for a jumpstart it males the box that much less appealing.
  6. So I'm in the process of swapping a 4wd chassis under my service truck and I want to add hot boxes to be able to jump start equipment and such but I keep reading that I'm supposed to unplugmy adrenaline to jump start vehicles. Is that still pertinent with remote jump boxes? I've seen the pics of fried boards and such, but man everytime unplugging and restarting is gonna be a drag..... any input would be greatly appreciated.
  7. I have used an oil pressure gauge in a pinch.
  8. I figured if there was anyplace to get reliable information, it would be here
  9. Ok guys lets talk water meth injection. I know the old go too mixture is the blue washer fluid. I used some M5 race fuel in my setup, cut about 50/50 with purple washer fluid. Anyone else dabble with a differnt mix? I do notice quite a bump in boost when I'm spraying....
  10. HAHAHAHA @Quadzilla Power I like to live dangerously!
  11. any tentative release for the public @Quadzilla Power?
  12. any update to this? I am building another truck and want to put this box on it and id like to build some tunes, but im stuck as the app keeps freezing.
  13. @jibayes yes I did and you can see where @Bluelinecody asked how to diagnose a pump without codes. it will also tell you what to look for to diagnose an ECM issue. As far as ordering parts I use Midwest Diesel Injection they have a factory authorized repair center in network and have never let me or a customer down, From VE to VP pumps and every injector in between they are my go to guys.
  14. I wouldn't say a 4k box isn't streetable. without understanding what you are doing tuning wise it won't be very friendly. I'm daily driving my truck with a 4k box. Blue Chip has a very good write up for diagnosing a bad vp44, it's saved me from a a couple costly unnecessary pump replacements
  15. Donaldson even specifically lists appropriate filters, the majority of large filters are a single stage of a multi part filter setup, Cross reference and of the common BHAF numbers at Donaldson website. You'll actually be surprised how low the airflow actually is. There has actually been a growing market for the fine foam prewrap socks to go over the BHAF filters due to the filter being a primary rather than a full filter.
  16. I would Avoid the BHAF as most are primary filters and dont pull as much dust or particulate out of the air, If you go that route make sure the application it came from doesnt use a secondary filter or that isnt listed as a primary filter. The elbow is nice but like stated above Id spend the money on an adrenaline before an exhaust.
  17. I'm on my third lift pump and I noticed today that my tank is sucking in on itself. I switched back to an Oem style while my new Holley is being warrantied. This all started when I noticed that I could pull my PF gauge down to 0psi, swapped in another pump and same deal. Can I really be sucking that much fuel through 7x12s? Like enough to suck my tank in on itself?
  18. Man im glad I wasnt the only guy with this issue, I just quit messing with my Tune. I originally thought it was because im running a 4k box on the dailey and that was causing the issue. @Me78569 has been super helpful, And @Quadzilla Power thank you for keeping us updated.
  19. will this work with a 4k box as well?
  20. I'm Minutes away from those places, just let me know and Ive got the first couple rounds.
  21. Again MANY MANY thanks to @Me78569, Super solid guy! If I get a chance to meet him in person I owe him a Beer.
  22. I cant seem to find my way back to the logs of the tunes. The ones with the full data builds. I think I have gotten past my iQuad issues. Can you link me back to it?
  23. Nick, any tune I build does the same thing. Perhaps its the beta Version of V2 for 4k boxes? I would download another tune but I havent stumbled upon any for 4k boxes.
  24. I waited more than 5 minutes, I drove a bit to verify it wouldn't freeze and as soon as I went to change levels it froze again. After rebooting the tablet it does the same.
  25. Well 1 problem solved, the tune will load and stay running, but as soon as I try to adjust the level it freezes up. Any thoughts?
