  1. So I was at the local cafe this morning getting breakfast and the village police chief came in who I know pretty well. (Not in a bad way haha) He came up to me and we started talking and apparently around here they have had a rash of dodges with tow mirrors being vandalized. He said they caught a few teens who were out "moose hunting" as they called it. Which he explained to me is they go around smashing off tow mirrors for kicks. I get the whole name of the game as some dope came up with tow mirrors out looks like a moose I guess. He told me it's been happening around this county and a few others in the surrounding area. I just don't get the younger generation now days ? Anybody else had this happening by you?
  2. From the video it's hard to tell but sounds like a dry throw out bearing/clutch noise. I would venture a guess as it's coming from that area. Not the engine.
  3. Totally off subject but Scott is your last name funk? Just asking because that is my last name
  4. I'll pick his brain in the morning when I get to the shop and get back to you asap
  5. Before I give you a answer I want to talk to my tech in the morning that is a electrical whiz on this. I have my suspicions but want to get his input less I steer you in the wrong direction. What model Allison are you using?
  6. I don't recall seeing it but I go through quite a few ecms a day more ISC ISL ISX and ISB 6.7 than the older b 5.9s
  7. They Can disable where the engine picks up road speed from the tailshaft in features and parameters right away if they are already hooked up should not charge you any more for changing more than one parameter. Now going back and reading the post some more I realized you did have an Allison you should be able to in the ECM parameters choose that you have an (auto) Allison transmission behind it and can have a tail shaft speed pick up if your transmission is equipped with one
  8. hundo is what we would charge to do a flash, parameter change is $59
  9. Yep both should have a cap on them by the looks of the pic they have the factory caps on them they have little rubber plugs in the holes where there would be wires normally. All is good?
  10. When I posted that I meant that's the connector to plug into with the dla adaptor the two pin is a terminating resistor in the plug
  11. That is exactly what they are, as if you were to hook into the ecm with say a Cummins inline6 or inline7 datalink connector versus going through the obd port in the cab.
  12. The minute or so that it is open before you install the lines on it is not going to make a difference that can be recovered with a vacuum. it is when you have everything disconnected for hours on end replacing everything and the original is open to atmosphere the whole time is why it should be replaced. But to the each their own. I replace them.
