Ok thank you for the explanation i greatly appreciate it.. im not sure what to do...i want a good powered tow rig for my camp trailer but im not willing to tap the vp44...so i guess im stuck...i dont want high egt or a ton of smoke. Replaced everything on front end and still super loose...bayes told me to check the steering shaft,it was shot.not sure why i didnt even think to lookat it lol

Smarty stays on level 3 and i will have to look at my revo settings but smoke cleans up almost 100% by 1700rpm...my setup lights faaaast Thanks guys,...jlbayes what do u recommend for #' of holes 6 or 7? And could you tell me why please? Thanks again for all your help along the way on a bunch of different things. That new steering shaft fixed my problem 100%
  3. Im running a 63 68 12 /s475 setup and i currently have 7x09 injectors... I'm looking to see what you guys recommend for my setup as my 7 by 9s are too small now. The truck is a manual trans and primarily used to tow the camp trailer in the summertime at about 5000 through 9000 foot elevation.
  4. Awesome thank you for the reply...so will the secondary usually always work harder until the gate opens to dump to the primary?

So i got the bung and gauge done for the interstage boost..can i do the numbers for where the truck will spend its time towing?if so total boost is 30 and primary is at 13-14psi...or does it need to be full throttle run? So heres the math at utah 14psi ( atmo) 30+14÷14=3.14 (overall) 14+14÷14=2 (primary) 3.14÷2=1.57 ( secondary pr) 1.57×14-14=7.98 (secondary boost)

  7. So what do i do if my secondary is 30psi and the primary is say 25? What is the plan of action to get it to a one-to-one? Sorry so many questions I'm just trying to learn and I really appreciate you explaining stuff

  10. Hey guys I got a few questions I just installed a compound turbo kit on my 2000 Cummins. My question is why does the small charger need to be set at 25 psi? The lowest I could get it with the Boost elbow is 32 psi when it starts to open, I don't think I can adjust the actuator because it does not have a nut on it. What would the harm be if I just left it at 32 psi? Thanks everybody

So this is what ive been running and after the look of moparman injector with 2 stroke i will be discontinuing use What I don't get is it says keeps injectors clean but I have been running this every tank exclusively at the higher treatment dose for two years since my new injectors went in and they were horrible with Ash build-up and carbon

  15. So i pulled my injectors when i installed valve springs and mantons...well they were dirty as heck and full of ash.could barely see the holes,truck has had optilube every tank since injectors went in (2 yrs ago).is this normal??thanks
  16. Thanks for the input,im just going to leave it how it is for now.its been like that for a few yrs and havent had a issue.i loved my smarty,but nowdays everyone is saying they are junk.
  17. Awesome,thank you very much.the reason i ask is that the truck had level 3 programmed and the smarty got ripped off..so thats where she be stuck at ha ha.thanks again for the fast response.i will order wed.
  18. Ok perfect,so it wont cause any problems leaving the level 3 software in the truck while using your high idle switch
