  1. Thanks for the input. In the next week or so I plan to evacuate and charge by weight. When I bought the truck the AC was overcharged so I reduced to pressures that were more inline. Still has a mystery charge. That should give me a good baseline. I am a windows down kinda guy, if the AC is on I always run on recirculate as it is real hot and humid. I also prefer AC on the hi way as I don't like the wind noise.
  2. Will do. How large is the gap between the stock intercooler and radiator? I am at 1 inch. Seems like a lot of air could bypass.
  3. I think I am having a air flow problem through my condenser at idle. Running down the road I have 40* center vent temps at 95 ambient. Creeps up when I hit a stop. Fan clutch seems to be moving lots of air in the shroud but I do not have baffles between rad and intercooler or intercooler and condenser. It had a AFE intercooler when I bought it, stock baffles gone. Anybody have any baffle suggestions? Thanks
  4. I also installed a electronic flasher to fix the led fast flash. I used a Napa EP-27L flasher. I got the part number from a M1973M post last week, wish I could link it. Lol
  5. I have had the blue top in for two weeks and still gets the thumbs up from me. Very responsive to even the slightest imput. The box is the latest steering mod and made a difference on its own.
  6. I thought it would be cool if the coil spring track bar setup from the newer SRW trucks could be used in a second gen. Problem is that it adds a lot of cost and complexity. The new one tons still use leafs,. Simple, cost effective,. You really have to work at it to screw them up. That said, if I hit the lotto I will be talking to Mr Kelderman.
  7. I put on about 200 miles on Saturday and the verdict so far is "Worth It". I did not have much slop to begin with, my steering was ok but is even better now. The only things not upgraded on my steering system are the column and ball joints. I still want to get a brace but I am in no hurry. I prefer the style of the DOR steering brace.
  8. Check your local auto body supply for a vinly dye. Works great as it soaks into the material instead of coating. Last one I used was a liquid and I wiped it on with a rag. Comes in spay cans also. Results were very good. Just say No to paint,. You will spend hours removing the paint that doesn't flake and scratch off to redo it.
  9. I just stayed with the 4 turn. Hope to put some miles on this week to really test it out.
  10. Picked up the box this morning. I installed the box along with 2 new hoses from Napa and a magnefine filter in the return line. Put 20 miles on, so far so good. Feels and drives great.. No leaks... Yeah
  11. Ryan called today and is shipping it out. He put in a new control valve and added a .002 shim to the shaft bearings. The ball bearing diameter was increassed by .0002 which should tighten things up. I am pretty stoked and will probably start the install as soon as I get it..
  12. Also check the ATS website for spring kits that include all the hardware. I think they do custom springs also. The website is autoandtrucksprings.com . https://www.autoandtrucksprings.com/dodge-ram-pickup-1500-2500-3500-series/
  13. Talked to Ryan this afternoon and confirmed out of stock. Picked up a large flat rate box and made it back to the post office before closing to ship it. Turn around should be quick, so hopefully will be installing next week. Looking forward to a non-leaking tight box...
  14. Good idea, I will try to give them a call. I will update if the new seal holds or not, just a bandaid probably. Original box with 225k. Thanks for the replies... Put a small score mark on your core so I'll know if I get it..lol
  15. My box has been seaping for a while as in wet nut, maybe a drop on the ground after being parked. Imagine my surprise stepping out of the Jiffy mart to see a puddle. Couldn't be mine right, after all it has only been seaping. Checked after the next stop and sure enough the same puddle. I had someone turn the wheel to the left as I was watching and it looked like a cow pissing on a flat rock. I have been thinking about a Bluetop from looking at referrals here, but the website says "Out of stock". I already pulled the old seal and will install the new one when I get home early enough. I am hoping it will seal, and stay sealed long enough to get a Bluetop when they are back in stock. Guess my other options are Napa or Redtop if it will not seal. I would prefer the added shaft support of a premium box and not just a reman. What do you all think?
