  1. lets talk 66 sxe. would there be considerable restriction with this?
  2. Well that makes me a little nervous. Meant to add on..I don't see a bhaf being sucked in.
  3. like i said i just put them on and have only driven it once so i havent had any time to play with them, but i would for sure believe that the back 3 is 50-100 degrees hotter than the front three. i was just mentioning one was electronic and one is mechanical. on that same note. how many of you guys have noticed the adrenaline reads high on PEAK boost levels. i would always peak 60-63psi on my 62/68 but my mechanical gauge would peak about 55psi
  4. "CAI" as in use the stock box, or i was thinking for track use removing headlight and routing a pipe there. and on the calculator what is inlet and outlet pressure?
  5. im talking about a track star though......
  6. so am i getting that the stock box is better at keeping IAT down? does this convert to cooler EGTs? cause i still have a problem with getting to hot @KATOOM i just finished my installing my 3 piece and new turbo and have only done one drive since installation, but i saw about 50-100* difference at all time. But one is also a mechanical and one from the adrenaline.
  7. Probably not. But like anyone I went to squeeze every last bit of power possible. I've been doing some reading on the bhaf and I've seen people say everything from gaining 30hp using one to losing 10hp or so compared to stock box
  8. Who me? Lol I do plan on doing the Dyno at the event. 65$ for 3 pulls I feel like I don't have any room to put a velocity stack straight into the turbo. My alternator is in the way. I know I couldn't put on my 45 degree elbow and air filter that I bought for it a few months ago to have the filter over by the passenger battery. Good thing it fit my 1st gen
  9. Do you think they are worth while?
  10. I haven't even looked, so I don't expect to be spoon fed but is there Dyno numbers between stock and bhaf? I honestly have been running no filter on my truck in the sig. Well, I guess a screen over my turbo is considered some sort of filter, just not a good one lol. But I also drive this truck about 500 miles a year. But it's starting to bug me thinking about the dirty *** air here getting sucked in my engine. I was looking into a velocity stack a couple weeks ago but again couldn't find any real world Dyno numbers, just claims of higher airflow/hp. Going to the track for the first time in 2 weeks!
  11. Are you thinking of a velocity stack?
  12. just a quick question. has anyone seen or had dyno numbers with and without running an air filter. THIS IS FOR DYNO/TRACK PURPOSES ONLY!!!! i dont wanna hear how its stupid to drive around without a filter. almost everyone i see takes their filter off or always runs no filter on their setup for dyno/track runs
  13. well it did it with the raptor and then still when i put back on the stock pump which has no quick connect
  14. yes it is on F. i believe 30-50miles driven since fill up
  15. well if i am sucking air then putting a new fuel lines from the tank to the lift pump should fix it no?
  16. i wish i had mechanically inclined friends. but i dont think every sump company in the world is going to vanish. i get your point but to me all the work in dropping the tank is not worth it. time is more valuable to me than money. and knowing i can knock out a sump and lines in 20 min vs more than likely several hours with dropping the tank. not to mention every bolt on this truck is seized. my 2nd 2001, not the one in my signature. i get the fear of drilling your tank. i had the same fear, but like i sad i havent had an issue so far, but it also hasnt been very long since i installed it
  17. the thing im trying to avoid is dropping the tank to replace lines. im not trying to do that on the side of the road. i installed a sump on my truck in my signature and have had no problems and was a very easy install, thus why i asked
  18. why arent you a fan of sumps? other than you thinking they will get ripped off, which i would never have that problem. i know the raptor isnt great or replace any of the factory line, but you could definitely get a barb fitting that fits in the inlet side of raptor and run a line from the sump to the raptor. and a raptor is better than a stock carter pump
  19. hey guys, been awhile. i havent even messed with the truck since we talked last. I was just sitting here wondering. would an easy option be to put a sump in with half inch line up to the raptor in the factory location. because if its sucking air it has to be between the tank and lift pump.
  20. aww i get it. i wasnt thinking. i would have to get some kind of fitting that would attach into the back of the lift pump that has a barb so i can attach a hose
  21. but as it pulls fuel through the leak wont fuel come out?
  22. lol no this isnt the truck in the description. this is my other 2001, its all stock... my baby in the description boosts 50-55 yes i did starter fluid. started the truck right up but unless i kept giving it a shot it would immediately die. thats the other thing is i literally have a tank on 'f' and if i bump the key or crank i dont get any leaking fuel anywhere if i close up the injector nuts
  23. thanks for the support. ya ive checked. thats one place where i have even bled multiple times. i really dont know what to do from here. i mean, is it possible that the vp is shot? only code i have is for an overboost, which i always get for some reason, i dont even boost above 20psi.
  24. i checked them all when i had the raptor on there and then obviously when putting the stock LP on i made sure it was all tight, but it does seem like air is somehow getting sucked up.
  25. well..another day failed to start. just got back in from another hour of trying to get it going. this time i bled in every place i could till i got good clean fuel. at the injectors i was getting a small stream from #1, #4 and #5 were getting pretty good fuel but it was foamy and a mix of spray/running out. still no fuel from #3. no matter how much i bumped or cranked or bled the fuel coming out of 4/5 was foamy. i then decided to throw on my stock IP and bleed from everywhere again. same situation. decent fuel from 4 and 5 but foamy, a little from 1 and none from #3
