  1. that was no problem but is has to give more like guided solutions. when this happens u do that or go to point 5 something like that u see from chrysler mechanics wo guide guys on websites. "Powertrain Diagnostics Procedures" i think this is it I need to know for sure if my ecm is toast WIth the crankshaft sensor not connected i can run the truck for like 15min. then i have to wait one or two ours to get it run that long... i am pretty sure the ecm is the fault when she gets hot.
  2. Hehe the last week i read only your wiring maps nothing else Ok i think i found something wrong... with all sensors connected i got 1.2ohm and 1.5ohm resistance to ground on both sensor ground plugs on ecm. Shouldnt that be near zero? When i unplug my crankshaft sensor the ecm stays online !!! This is all without try to start because fuelfilter and starter are out of the car. The next thing i inspected the Eng speed sensor sig on ECM pin45 k24 Gry/Blk to PCM C1 pin 8 k24 Gry/Blk. I have little over 5v from the pcm to the ecm....??? Disconnected the c1 on pcm and measure on the pin from pcm! Is that normal? and from the ecm measured by the unplug c1 pcm to ecm i have a unsteady voltage 0.4 v ... Where can i get a Workshop Manual for 1999 Dodge Ram? i get the service manual but there has to be more .

    Hi from Germany

Yeah diesel is cheaper than gas ... about 1.50€ per liter or so... My 1972 Chrysler Town & Country with the 440 cui engine gets about 30 liters per 100km this are 45€ Oh TÜV inspections in germany are really really hard... when you from the usa would see this you would cry and laugh at the same time No damage on the megacab

    Hi from Germany

about 1.22 euro per liter (1.43 Usd).
  6. Ok i will do all the ground mods! i think the Ccd-Bus is ok . i measured it between pcm and ecm !its ok. and all information for the instrument panel arrive this is why i think its ok. The 1694 no communication with ecm i think is set because the ecm shut down after 10seconds. Now i have to think why the ecm is shutdown and how... Is there a short? Not enough Ground? Fuel shut off relay and / or click and the engine dies... Is it because the ecm goes into n lock mode?because ground or short failure? Or is it because the pcm told the ecm to go out ... This is my task for this day I maybe try to run the engine without the car only give the ecm 12v and ground from outside....

    Hi from Germany

Yes i love this trucks. when i am back home i will try to post some pictures. this are all cars who had a damage and were really cheap. Megacab has a hole in the block with 70000miles....Doesnt unterstand why:) 2003 2500 had a broken transmission now it runs fine. 1991 stand in a field for 15years and so on
  11. First of all thank you for your help! This wont be for nothing. The CTM-Module has to be the standard one . It has only 14 Pins and no ccd cable connected to. This is why i hope it has no security in it. The big connector on pdc i checked. it looks like every connection very good. But i will check it again. And the ccd cables between pcm and ecm. I checked the resistance without the Batteries in the bus system and it gives me 60 Ohm resistance . Does it mean all ccd cables are good? I have to think about that. At first start the WTS light comes on and everything looks good the engine starts run fine everthing works. And then 10 seconds later i hear the asd and or fuel shot down relay clicking and it stalls. When i now again try to start the WTS light come on for a second but the engine did not start. When i try it again the WTS light did not come.Thats all with the key in. BUT when i get Key out lock/unlock the door everything starts like the first time.... This is what i did not get in my mind Is there a short in the Sensor/Apps and this shut down the ECM? I have a too high voltage Apps failure ... Did i have it because i unbolted it and it has no more ground? Is it possible that the APPS has a short to ground and shut down my ECM? I could take it out from my 2003 and change it. Shut the PCM the ECM down when it sees no communication? I did not get it if the ecm is damaged or get shut down by anything else... Thanks alot!!
  12. Hi Guys, I am new to this Forum and i hope you can help me. I have bought a bone stock 1999 Ram2500 with 99000km on the clock who died after 20km(12miles) on the way home. Before the car sits still for 5 years because the owner died. The problem: Its starts and runs absolut perfect for about 10 seconds and then it shut off. Then it starts again only when i lock and unlock the door or wait like 3minutes or something like that. when i try to start it without lock/unlock or waiting --the wait to start doesnt come on and the fuel pump doesnt run. When it stalls the Fuel Pump Relay click and the Fuel pump doesnt get 12v and the ecm Sensor 5v Supply Voltage drop to 2.6v. With a normal code reader i get nothing.Only the Smarty is fast enough to get the codes in this 10 seconds after that he lost connection to the car. The codes are p1693 Companion Code p1694 No bus received from Ecm and not every time p0123 Tps Signal to high What i have done: I measured the Bus wires and get 2.40-2.44v on Bus+ and on Bus- a unsteady 2.20-2.50v which seems to be out of specc. I disconected everything one for one but on Bus- doesnt change and the engine start and stalls even without the pcm. I have 60ohm resitance on Bus- to Bus+ without Battery that seems good. Hot wired the pump and it runs on idle perfect. Get new Crankshaft , Camshaft Sensor and new Lift Pump. Cleaned all Grounds looks good like all other Cable/Connection. Is there any other known Problems with the Bus? Does it have any security system? It has base CTM but Overhead Console .There is no red led. Who can shut down the engine(Or the ECM)? The Pcm because it gets no information from Ecm? Or the Ecm because shes dead?Maybe a short? Whats the normal start procedure ? Is there any Data what i can measure on the pins from Ecm/Pcm to be save that they are dead or good? Why i can start immediatly after i lock the doors??And not when i bump the key a second time? Sorry for the long text but i hope you have an idea what could be wrong. Thanks Till
