, I'm in louisville ky. I have a few parts that I'll give to anyone who needs them. Front sway bar 2nd gen. Front hub spacers for a duelly Plus other parts. Also looking to sell my 01 Quad Cab 24v. Around 198xxx miles. Cummins, 4wd, fresh paint on bed, fenders, etc. Quadzilla never turned up past 3. Good solid truck. I just can't afford to keep it.

Ibmobile@ what i did was used the relay you wrote about using along with a switch. For some reason now my grid heater stays on whenever my switch is on.

I don't remember what i did. I should have made better notes on this mod but i did not. Thanks for the link. I'll try to look into the issue tomorrow after my daughter leaves me. Raining and cold here now hopefully tomorrow will just be cold. If my switch is on grid heater works. If my switch is off grid heater is bypassed. When i 1st did this if the switch was on it worked. Just like mopar intended. After the numerous ps/brake failures i had that ps fluid everywhere under the hood is when i noticed the issue. Before when it was cold I'd leave the grid switch on and it would work as Mopar intended it. Now if the switch is on the grid stays powered up and never turns off until i kill my switch.

'Honestly i do not remember. I do remember me and you had a back and forth about the solenoid having a diode protect on it. I Had said if it was done strictly your way it would be fine but if you did what I did and tied multiple things on same circuit it could have issues. It was based on what kind of electronics were after the grid shutdown. Again i am not wanting to cause issues. I'm honestly trying to rember what changes I've made to this pig.

I did the grid heater controller that i think MAYBE @IBMobile wrote up. Have had it switched off since spring. Everything was good. I lost a hydroboost and a gearbox this summer and completely covered everything under my hood in power steering fluid. Now its cold in Loserville ky and and i need the grid. My problem is when i turn my switch on the grid stays on all the time. Never shuts off until i flip the switch. I will admit i have not had the time to put it back to factory stock conditions to see what happens. Scan tool shows nothing. Any help/ideas are really appreciated. Thanks guys.

Looks good @Red Rambler. The most important thing is driver satisfaction. If the person driving the car is happy with the sound what else really matters? If you're looking for a good affordable sub look at Skar. I've heard good things about their full range drivers and their component speakers but only have 1st hand experience with the subs. Hit hard and clean, take good power.

@Red Rambler cruthfield is a great place to do research. Their prices can be a little high. I use them mostly as an info site then buy elsewhere online. Sorry, but I'm usually 99.8% sure of what i want before i order it and cant see giving crutchfield $50-$100 on stereo equipment. I just make sure the place i order from has good reviews and use a credit card for the purchase protection the cc company gives you.

The thing about the 880prs and 80prs pioneers is the adjustments. 32 band eq, built in crossovers, etc. Very good for tuning the system to fit whatever vehicle they are in. I don't like the looks of the 80prs but on paper it looks to be as good as the 880prs.

@Red Rambler the polk db series speaker is hard to beat for the money. They can be overpowered and are marine rated. Those speakers will come to life with a clean amp. I spent 3 times on Boston Acoustic speakers that are now dead and never sounded as good as the Polk. if ya want a good head unit with a lot of user adjustments look at the pioneer deh 80prs. Will be my next head unit. Not quite as good as mine but affordable, has Bluetooth, and not $1000.

If it weren't for my daughter and my 2 stepsons it would be "oh well who cares" . its because of the kids that its ripping my heart out. But i may have had an upturn tonight. She sent me a message that said" get the **** to the lawyer asap. Uncontested. I want it over" guess she really wants to be free to be with her boyfriend at work. Maybe he's realising she lied her *** of to him too and putting pressure on her. Whatever. I'm so past done its a joke.

@01cummins4everno i really haven't had a good chance to test it. I got it really cheap and got it working for about $150. This truck was my retirement vehicle. It was going to tow a camper or a boat when i retired and my family moved south. Now all those plans are gone. Since October my world has been upside down. I'm homeless living on a friends couch. I have my car, truck, clothes, guns and a dresser. Literally nothing else. I've lost everything i worked 30 years for. Hell the next post i put up might be the truck for sale. Guys never take anything for granted. Over 5 days my entire world changed. Make every day count. Hug the kids. I never saw this coming.
