So I bought a 2012 4x4 1500 with 104k on the clock. Auto trans with electric switch on the dash. Course I looked up the oil and it says to use ATF Here in Tx it gets real hot so I don't think its good to run ATF, what do y'all run?

Ram recommends the use of a licensed ATF+4® MS-9602 specification fluid for the NV241, NV243, NV244, NV271, and NV273 type transfer case fluid change.

Automatic transmission fluid (ATF) is often used in transfer cases because it handles hydraulic pressure well and works in a wide range of temperatures.

You could use some synthetic ATF+4 like Royal Purple or Valvoline.

Note: All ATF+4 in all synthetic oil and brand name doesn't matter. All have the same specs minimum wise. NAPA ATF+4 is just the same and half the cost at times.
