Hye guys Looking for something I can have in my truck that will do the following things 1) Inflate truck or RV tires if I have a flat or low pressure 2) Be able to support tools for camping - eg kettle/light 3) Be able to jump start truck if batteries dead. This is best I have found. Most are crap. Is there anything you guys would recommend better ? http://www.walmart.com/catalog/allReviews.do?product_id=13035281 Biggest issue seems to be how long it will hold charge if you use it with devices - only a couple of hours ....... plus having to start/stop on aircompressor as its not big enough

I have one of these, use it on my little boat for bowfishing. It is really quiet

You could use any kind of small compressor with it you'd like! Oughta fit pretty nice behind your passenger or driver seat if you have a quad cab. Those things like what you are talking about are all pretty crappy......

it takes alot of air to get your tires to 80+ pounds. that one will never come close. i have a 5gal pancake compressor 110 volt that goes to 125#psi that will barely inflate the truck tires. takes forever.

That looks awesome - but only ones I have seen look like they are $600-$800 second hand on ebay ?? :broke:

Yeah they are sure proud of em aren't they? That's the only bad part about them................... But mr. dripley is right, those little things would be hard pressed to air up an rv tire to 80 psi, just seems like one of those cheap kinda gizmos that break after a year or so and end up being a waste of money. But that is just my opinion.............they may be really good, i have no idea!

Yeah - well confirming its IS 'crap' and it goes back to lowes tomorrow !!!

couldn't even warm my coffee pot or inflate my mattress

--- Update to the previous post...

this brand seems to get decent reviews - and at least it will have the power I need when I need it

now just to find a cheap decent compressor

Get a honda and be done with it. We have one same as that one (3500 Watt) and we beat the crap out of it. We overload it all the time and it powers through it (I know this because of an amp clamp). Buying cheap generators is like buying a stock lift pump, it will work for a while and go out on you and you will have to get and new one over and over, or get the airdog 150. Honda generators are the airdog.. There are even better ones out there but the Honda one's are definitely great.
