ok guys i just installed the vulcan performance kit from the filter to the vp44, and installed the fuel pressure gauge, that`s why im felling down, i have only 8 psi at idle:cry:, at wot i didnt have the guts to try it:banghead:, and i really dont know for how long it has been this way, so i need to go to a place that is 240 miles from here (its gonna be 500 miles getting there and coming back and i really need to go), im using the walmart 2 cycle oil (it helped me a lot, my vp44 it,s a lot quieter and i gain like .5 mpg on the city) do you think its gonna make it worst, its an empty trip, and rigth now im ordering my raptor 150.Im not using my gasser cause someone try to steal it and could not make it, they broke the back window mecanism, and its like 105 degrees n the desert, and my A/C does not work with an open window jejeje:ahhh:Thank you guys for all your help, sincerely Tunklo (Ivan).

not that i would recomend doing this, but i drove mine for a while under the same circumstances only because i did not know anything about the importance of fuel pressure and did not own a fp gauge at the time. the vp will run just fine with low fuel pressure until it waers out. your guess is a as good as mine on when that wil happen. wether you choose to drive it or not get a new lift pump and install it as soon as time and cash will allow you to. and by lift pump i dont recommend an oe replacement. raptor, air dog, fass, whatever as long as it gives good pressure and flow. DAP has some good deals on some older models if he has any left.
