rancherman 353 Posted December 8, 2013 needed to replace the power cord on a Perkins engine this week, and since I added this block heater myself a couple years ago, I was hoping KATS engine block heaters would offer a replacement cord. They do! Kat's 28216 or Kat's 28500 Both are about 15 or 16 bucks, but the interesting thing I found with these, is they fit the heaters installed in our Cummins. (just make sure which 'end' you need, round or tri-oval) They are probably cheaper than what the dealer wants
MnTom 406 Posted December 9, 2013 And also probably cheaper that what Cummins wants for them too!
JAG1 1,362 Posted December 9, 2013 My original Cummins cord went bad. I went down to ORielly's auto parts with the old cord. They had a box of assorted types of cord ends. I matched it up with an after market one for a very inexpensive price. It has been working well this winter and seems to be pretty good quality.
