Hello all,I have been a lurker for some time now and have recently registered. I originally found this site through following some of Michael's write ups on another site. I own a 1998.5 24v 2500, 4x4, auto, QC, LB with about 160,000 mi. It is my first diesel and is completely stock, well minus the brakes that I did and all new oils. I wanted the third generation, but they were too expensive at the time then I found mine and I think that I got a good deal. I got it from a pastor of a church for $6,500.I have been doing my research, reading and learning as much as I can. I am currently deployed, but when I return I have made a truck budget and will begin my build. I plan on…

Hello guys! I'm Will - some of y'all might know me as TexasTurbo on the Dodge Cummins Diesel Forum. I guess I should've used the same username, but I liked Texas CTD better.:tease:I'm 15 years old, and our ranch truck is a (bone stock) '98.5 dually, 5spd, 2wd. I'm fascinated with these trucks and the knowledge about these trucks on this website, so I figured I would join. I'm here, just like on the Cummins Forum, to learn all I can about these trucks.I just want to say thank you, Mike, for an awesome website with a wealth of information that has helped me a bunch.

Hi Everyone. I just purchased a 2001 3500 Ram Dually Quad Cab. Basically its my someday truck (You know, someday before I die I am going to have a truck like this ). I have had Chevy diesels in the past but, I love the second Gen Dodge styling. I have a 33' travel trailer that I am going to tow with the Cummins (I know, but, it just feels so darn good to say....) The wife was none too pleased about our Chev, but she tolerated it, and I was shocked when she had no problem with me buying the "ghost" truck (Its white; the wife and I love the name, and its better than "Casper" ya know?). One small problem. I got it home from the dealership ok, however, when I was driving to w…

Hello all, My name is John Browne and I'm from Rimbey Alberta Canada. I'm 39 for a few more days and just bought my first diesel truck a week ago. It's a 2001 Ram 2500 4x4 Quad cab long box with a auto trans. I know the two previous owners, it has high mileage at 438,000kms but runs really nice and burns no oil. The inj pump and lift pump were done a 360,000kms so that makes me feel a little better. I got it to pull the new 27 foot Puma holiday trailer we got in Jan, so I want to do just a couple mods to it for a bit more power and fuel economy. I don't know how accurate the overhead consule is but it reads around 22mpg at 100km/hr. Best part was the price, $3500 and it's…

Just recently picked up a 1999 24v, Quad Cab, Long bed with just over 265.000 miles. First diesel, love it so far. Shows signs of use for sure as a work truck. All stock except for an Edge Ez I just bought. Plans for mods are limited due to I already have a off road rig so for now it's just exhaust, gauges, and injectors. Pics

Hi allI just found this Dodge forum and am anxious to learn more about my common rail. My 2004.5 qclb 4x4 replaced my 2001.5 2500 4x4 qcsb last summer with both being autos. We pull a 22 ft K2 bumper pull toy hauler loaded with our Polaris RZR. So far we've only made one 1800 mile trip to Utah and back and was very pleased with the performance and 11 mpg average, besting the old truck by 1 mpg but around town is not so good running between 11-14. But as I usually just use it for towing it doesn't matter much, I'd rather do better towing. Gerry

Just joined the forum a few days ago and figured I'd say hi. I'm the Equipment Manager for the golf and grounds department at a large resort in Verona NY. We maintain a fleet of equipment that ranges from chainsaws to tri-axle dump trucks. Looking forward to learning all I can about the old dodge I've got because the thought of having a truck payment again doesn't sit well with me. 261,000 miles and hoping for 500,000.

Hi, My name is Native. I recently acquired a 1999 Dodge Ram 3500 and I know nothing about Diesel engines. I have a strong automotive back ground and have worked in the power industry for over 20 years so taking on new equipment is nothing new to me. I find I am liking this truck more and more every day I drive it though and I want to take care of it so here I am. Looking forward to soaking up as much knowledge as I can.

  17. Started by Michael,

I'm a newbie here but have been around the diesel scene and other forums for a while. I am the engineering manager at ISSPRO, and I have been driving the MBRP/DirtyMax truck since 2008. I have vacated that seat now though and am building my own Pro Stock Diesel pickup. No, it's not a Cummins engine or Dodge body, but at least it is diesel! Please let me know if you have any questions about ISSPRO stuff or drag racing and I'll do my best to answer!Regards,Michael Pliska
