I just turned 110,000 on the clock today. That makes; by my math, 70,000 miles without a complete oil change!!!! I installed it at 40,000 on the clock. :thumbsup :thumbsup I love my MotorGuard TP bypass!!!

Looking for some help here folks. I have a no start on my truck. The no bus signal is up in the odometer. I have a very loud buzz coming from the asd relay. I have tried repalcing that. Still nothing. I pulled every fuse and relay and checked them. I put a new pcm in that made no difference. I pulled the ecm and sent it in for checking over, and it came back good. I know I am missing the key on signal, but am looking for some advice on tracking this down. I also checked and cleaned all the grounds I could find. Towing to a dealer not really and option where I live. HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I experiment a lot with my truck. One thing that I'm at a loss to figure out is this...............When I'm cruising on the highway at 65mph without the AC on and the windows closed and the fan on only, my boost is running 4-5psi and EGT's are about 600*F. Get this though.........same conditions/speed.......I turn the AC on to recirulate mode...............boost drops to a steady 4psi and EGT's drop to about 550 or slightly less. Let me say this, both of these scenarios are running level ground with little or no wind. Does turning the AC on "advance" the timing that much more???? I've done the "tone ring mod" and run the Smarty on default settings. If I advance the tim…

Does any one on here have or know what type of power level differences there are between the intermediate upgrade and extreme duty rebuilds? My goal is just to run the Edge Juice safely. Any other suggestions maybe?

After reading your forun I stopped adding Marvel to my 5.9, My 5.9 is a 2007 no cat or filter on the exhaust, added 16 oz of Royal Purple 2 cycle oil , is that correct for this engine , seems to run a little cooler, mpg is 17.5 to 18 on the 4 wheel drive 3500, I did use your calculator to get the correct amount to add, Thanks KDUD

I have a 04.5 ctd and was wondering about the "Big Honkin Air Filter". I currently have an Air Aid CAI which I thought was good until I pulled the intake hose off of the turbo and looked like my turbo has taken in some dirt . My filter stays clean, at least on the outside, but are these lifetime filters junk? Does the BHAF do a better job of filtration? What is the price tag of the BGAF and how long do they last? Do these filters fit directly to the intake hose I already have? Any help appreciatated... Mike

Just got a 2001 QC short bed with the HO cummins and the six speed manual with 157500 on the clock. So far the truck is great was used as a work truck so its got some dings and what not, but my question is; every once and a while when I go to take off from a cold start the engine will stumble a couple times then recover and be fine the rest of the time, but when it does stumble the check engine light immediatly comes on (so at least thats working!). Could this be the lift pump going bad? Any help is greatly appreciated as this is my second Dodge but my first diesel.

Like I said in a prior post, my truck just rolled over 100,000 miles. Within 20-30 miles of that, I pulled an oil sample and sent it out to Blackstone Labs for analysis. For y'all that don't know, I run a MotorGuard TP bypass filter on my truck. I did a bunch of research prior to buying and installing this unit. According to Mr. Ralph Wood (aka Mr. MotorGuard) oil doesn't wear out, it only gets dirty. If you can keep the oil clean, you can run it almost indefinitely. Anyhow, modifying his theory slightly for a "modified" diesel truck, I change out my TP at 1500-2000 mile intervals depending on how the truck was driven, and then add 1 quart of "make up oil". I change the …

Well, she finally rolled over.............100,000 miles that is!!!! ` I'm truly officially my own warranty now!!! :smart One saving grace about turning it is that my last 2 tanks of fuel have netted me over 600 miles/tank. It's warming up around here, so the mileage will go up. My Smarty is helping big time!!! The worst tank I got over the winter months still got me just under 17mpg!!! As I type this, I've got 100,204 mile on my 04.5!! :thumbsup

I recently installed an Airdog FP-100 on my 2004.5 CTD. Right afterward I started noticing a rattle or knock around the 1300 to 1800 rpm range. It goes away when under under load. Any suggestions?

Let me preface by saying that I didn't use the whole tank of fuel before figuring the mileage I got for this tank. That said, I filled up with 388.5 miles on the tank and the fuel gauge had just hit straight up/half tank!!! For me if I can get 300 miles before the gauge reads straight up/half tank, I'm in the 19mpg range. However, this tank of fuel seemed to be really, really good. No work trailer towing on this one either. All suburban/short country driving jaunts where the speeds averaged 35-55mph. The hand calculated MPG for this tank of fuel was 21.6mpg and I really overfilled the tank too, so true mileage may have been a touch better than that. Filled her right to t…

I've got a serious question here. All these diesel "fuel system cleaners" out there. You know, PS, Lucas, Howes, etc. What are they actually cleaning???? What needs to be "cleaned" on the INSIDE of our fuel systems???? Diesel is unlike gas in that is doesn't evaporate readily and leave varnish type deposits. Diesel is oil. When I did my fuel tank vent mod, I had to drop the fuel tank. It was pristine on the inside!!! When I added my GDP Walbro lift pump system, looked inside the lines I didn't need, and didn't see any deposits. Occasionally I find some "remnants" in the bottom of the fuel filter canister, but isn't that what my 2 fuel filters are for???? Do these "clea…

Got back last night from North Dakota. Me and 2 friends went out pheasant hunting. Hunting was fair........dog work was very good.......temps were cold.......truck ran great........twas a great time!!!! First tank of fuel netted a 19.5mpg average. This tank was all highway; and most of that was running 70+mph!!! Second tank wasn't so good. Once we filled up in northern MN, it's only 3 hours to where we go in ND. After we get there, it's a lot of cold starts and short trips going from hunting spot to hunting spot. Had some extended high idle time in there also. This tank only got 15.8mpg. I'm still on the third tank, and I've got about 550 miles on it and the fuel gau…

This item is the real deal!!! :thumbsup With all the front end work I had done, along with the new tires, and then the new shocks.......my truck drove real, real good!!!! However, with the BD Steering Box Stabilizer it drives a whole lot better. Almost sports car like in response!!!! This should be an OEM item IMHO!!! :smart :smart
