Does any one on here have or know what type of power level differences there are between the intermediate upgrade and extreme duty rebuilds? My goal is just to run the Edge Juice safely. Any other suggestions maybe?

Is this for your '01????? That's what your signature says........or did you get a 3rd generation???? Truthfully, I'm not an expert on auto trannys. Clutches, that's another matter. Let me know.

yeah its for my 01 auto.. really im just curious what would be the best thing to do so i can run more hp with out breaking anything. my buddy with a dmax just went with suncoast and is very happy.

Does anyone on here have some ideas on what would be a good way to upgrade the tranny to hold moderate extra power,what have some of you guys done? im not looking to do anything serious in the near future and am on a budget. any advice would be great.

You would probably do well with just a valve body and an upgraded torque converter. You're not looking at huge HP, so you don't need billet shafts. But talk to a good auto trans guy. I'm not that guy.

Most guys do a valve body & upgrade the TQ. Another good measure would be a trans temp gauge. Still we're talking some money here, that's why I haven't done mine yet.Sun Coast, is that a complete tranny? That would be the way to go, that would probably last the life of the truck, as long as you don't start pulling a sled w/ it! :D Dave
