Alright guys I want to hear your opinions... Currently we have a rule that only those with 20 posts or more (standard members) can download files. We have had people abuse the rule so they could rack up their 20 posts and get what they want. The rule is in place so people can't just get the file and run because the theory is that we would have too many people downloading and it would kill the website server. It is a way to regulate basically, but also a way to let people pay us back in a sense for the info we dug up. Now, I have seen maybe 1 person a month who actually wants the file bad enough to become a member and to post asking for it, I don't really see that as …

Thanks for allowing us to use tapatalk! Cummins Forum took the greedy route and chose to no longer allow access via tapatalk. They want you to use some autoguide app, which I believe they were instrumental in creating. Ok Gang... There is some problem occurring here on the forum like IE10 browser, PHP5.4 and IPv6 issues and other small issues. I've been tracking vBulletin site and watching for updates. But it seem that vBulletin classifies vB4 now a legacy software and it still supported but low in priority. Since vB5 came out there is a lot of errors and bugs with that software so majority of the effort is placed on vB5 problems. I've been watching vBulletin now for about 6 months as vB5 is in very bad state and little priority given to vB4 and its current issues. Ok. I'm starting to see people asking once again about the download area and why its locked and what is the password. So I'm going to explain it all out for everyone. First off this site is hosted and ran with member donations to pay for all bills. So this means that donated family members should have first right to the files since they have pay for a share of the bandwidth for the server. Is anybody else having problems the last couple weeks on the forums while typing out a post I can not hit enter to go to another line on my computer. Everything gets run into a big single paragraph and it is getting very annoying. I just started a new thread and wanted to make it clean and label descriptions of pictures but because I can not hit the enter button and drop to the next line it got all jumbled up. I seem to have the same issue on a lot of forums the last couple weeks. Anybody know what might be the problem? It actually seems to happen in any text box except e-mail, it works perfect in my e-mail text box but any other kind of message text box doesn't work.

I was having a conversation with one of the few vendors here on the site. He told me this is one of the last great web site left to send people to that are looking for advise on Dodge Cummins Trucks. So I changed my notification settings from "Instant email" to "Control Panel Only".And I still get emails of responses to subscribed threads... Am I missing something? I use tapatalk a lot, so there's no need for double notifications (email and Tapatalk)..

I've still been keeping up with the pruning of the old family members from the database. Still holding to the 365 day limit. I notice the site is still growing faster in membership numbers which is a good thing. I am trying to add two trucks to my signature and I'm unable to. The site tells me I can only have 5 lines and BB code size is not allowed. I already have more than 5 lines in my signature and I don't know what BB code size is. Please help.

Hey Gang... I got a band-aid in place for Internet Explorer 10 users. I know there has been several complaints about the editor box not working properly. But I got a band-aid that is a META tag that forces the IE browser to act like IE9. This is only a temporary fix... <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=9" />

Mike, the site has been extremely slow and unresponsive and times out ect ect a lot the last 3 days and seems to be getting worse as time goes along too, same issue from my home PC my work PC and my wifes work pc.I have noticed quite a few double posts and some coments about lost posts from timing out I would suspect.

I'm trying to make the functions of the site more visible so member can use all the different functions. Like the Groups tab up top now this is so the family members can create there own mini forum of different topics. I know the categories are rather generic and I'm willing to edit or modify the group setting to fit what ever...So please post up questions or ideas and I'll do what I can to make it happen...

vBulletin is getting ready to release a update soon for 4.2.1 which will include upgrade editor for Windows 8 and Internet Explorer 10. Then also upgrade the PHP code for PHP 5.4. So those of you using Windows 8 and Internet Explorer 10 I'll be get a update to fix these problem very soon.

Ok. I know the point system has been here for a very long time but not really used. What I want to do is give a alternate means of donation to the members that are bit strapped for cash. Let say you can get paid by the site virtually in points from the donated efforts. So this would allow member use points to purchase there next access. This is stemming from the thread about Lifetime membership so I'm going the next step on now. So say if people came in and decided to work for it instead they could be helping the site out by adding good keyword tags to the threads. So each time you do its worth 2 points.
