Hi guys, been a while. I'm having a problem with my truck getting up to temp. Unless I'm towing. But on normal driving edge on 5x5 it stays about 140 degrees.

Any thoughts?

Ok thanks. Saw the thread on the 190 vs 200 thermostat. Prolly just use 190 since its summer right?

I think it depends. If you do a lot of pulling you should go with the 190. If it's just a DD that doesn't get worked hard very often go with the 200

Well it's funny. When I first got this truck all my friends asked what I tow. At that point it was just groceries and beverages.

Since then I got a huge boat and a dump trailer and a car hauler. I even towed a backhoe home 300 miles with the 02 black dodge auto trNny. 40,000 pounds total weight on 5.9!!

Think I'll do the 190.

200 in the winter when I don't tow

Thanks you guys!! I'll get thermostat on Monday from dodge unless you think run of the mill from big daddy auto chain is sufficient ?
