Well I not only have a beat up Dodge truck, but I also have a 1989 bmw 750il.   Yep quarter century old bmw v12, good choice huh hahah

I've always had a soft spot for the older BMW sedans.  I have had

E36 318is SOOO SLOW, but ran good at 260,000 miles

not worth a picture

E34 540i 6 speed, quick and fun had big dreams with a small wallet

E34 530it Awesomely fun to drive soccer mom car.  I sold it at 297,000 miles and it still ran like a tank, I later found it at a junkyard.  That hurt. If you care to read the story of this car it can be found HERE

- #4000+ worth of German metal

- Reclining rear seats

- all 4 rotors turned and new brake pads

- 4 new tires

- %75 new coolant hoses ( replaced the rest shortly after)

- New head gasket on drivers side.

- Rear suspension valve re-seal and adjustment

- Headlights

- engine bay cleaning

- Some basic wiring

Paint was in 3/10 condition.

  • It is the spray stuff.  It actually works great, little pricey, but it looks pretty dang good.     The Germans were VERY good when it comes to building a car that can be serviced.  The v12 in a car

  • Well I found another one.     Waiting on pictures but I think I am going to pull the trigger      I have been getting the urge to build an engine recently so I am

There sure is alot of nose art out there to choose from. Nothing wrong with that one.

I have been going back and forth on selling the car.  I haven't driven it in over a month at this point.

I just like driving the truck too much, that vgt turbo make it so much more fun.

If you sell it your truck will break down.  Your truck seems like the sort that would keep running just out of it's stubborn Mexican pride.

went out yesterday to start it and it was DED dead.

Threw a charger on the beast and hopefully will let her run for a hour or so today.  I need to get some new headlights in it, as I robbed them for my truck.

Then finish painting it and get back to driving it or sell the thing.

I'm convinced this is the real reason why guys run external kill switches on street rods, not because they run that fast at the track.

I just want to know what nose art you picked for it. I have some old B&W photos my dad took while in the PTO when he was over seas back in 45. I can post them if you like and give you some more ideas.

The Germans make it pretty easy, once you get the car in the air it is less frustrating than working on the dodge.

I wish haha, I would have to talk him down to $1000.

Interestingly enough, I haven't paid more than a grand for a vehicle in almost a decade hahaha.  Might explain why I am always fixing them.

I want an old mopar land yacht. Bmw isnt enough pain.

The e32 is sold and leaving my hands friday.

On my route to and from the stables to see our horse there is a e28 535is that has been sitting for years.  I asked to the guy yesterday to ask what was up.   said it was his son's son got in an accident in another car and the car has been sitting.

we will see if I get my hands on it or not.  perfect DD car.   It has been long fortold that the M30 series engine is actually what rotates the earth and has been since the dawn of time.

It looks like this

with the e32 gone I have been keeping my eye open for another bmw.  Happens that this weekend I heard word of another e34 touring for sale.  3.0 l v8, but with a 6 speed swap already done.   i've already had a touring, but man I miss that car.  I am seriously considering flying out to cali and picking it up.    Really not a great time in terms of $$ but it is a pretty screaming deal.....Maybe I need to start a go fund me lololololol
