Had an issue with brakes start up last night and today. When applying the brakes and almost to a stop (Maybe 5mph), it feels like the ABS is kicking on? this in on dry pavement. not traction issues. Of course when this happens stopping distance goes wayyy up! I'm not really sure what to check. Wheel speed sensor maybe?? Any ideas??

Check for codes in the ECM and PCM. If you don't have a scanner you can do the key trick. ON, off, on, off, on look at the odometer and write down the codes P...., WAIT till it says done twice. If it only says done once then you are only reading one of the computers. A Dodge dealer will have to read any codes for the ABS system.

Checked DTC's pulled a P0500 and the P1693 codes.

Perfect... The your problem could be with one of the front sensor... The sensor is reading off slighlty causes the ABS to start to fire a bit. Because if the rear sensor had problem you would see the speedometer needle stick at zero or read erratically or show just a bad value. right now the problem is so mild to the ABS computer it not tripping the light but once the difference increase the ABS light will come on and the ABS system will eventually fail completely returning back to old school brake system. On these truck it really easy to lock up all 4 wheels.

Is there a way an individual can tell which one in the driveway? Or is it trial and error or bring it to the dealer to test? There cheap enough I guess I could replace both

Dealer is the the only one I know of that is capable of seeing the speed sensors... There is a few SnapOn scanner that can too... As for the price I don't know...
